Come enjoy this tranquil atmosphere. We are nestled in a quiet valley only minutes from shopping, fine dining, outdoor activities, festivals, shows, professional events, amusement parks, state parks, lakes and more. Near Heber City, Park City, Sundance, Provo, and, Orem. Our bright Cottage was once a lavender workshop located at the top of one of our lavender fields. Soak in the breath-taking views, walk the fields, relax in the gazebo. A relaxing vacation never to be forgotten. The space History The Cottage was our lavender workshop which we recently converted into a tiny house. Here we would make lavender bouquets, lavender lotions, and even lavender goat milk soap. We have moved the workshop to a different part of the property, so you can enjoy the cottage without lavender hanging from the ceiling to dry. The Cottage is bright and welcoming. Even though it's a tiny house (382 sqft), it is surprisingly spacious. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and full bath. Enjoy outdoor dining with view of lavender fields and the Wasatch Mountains. There is also a beautiful gazebo at the top of one of our lavender fields that you are welcome to enjoy. Please Note: No animals of any kind are allowed on the property. Also, be advised that this is a unique cottage, completely off grid, with power coming from solar panels, water pumped from tanks, and it has an incinerating toilet. What’s in the Kitchen? The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, double hotplate, griddle, pots and pans. Under the sink you will find a mat and drying rack for dishes, fire extinguisher, 1st aid kit, and cleaning supplies. You will find complementary chilled bottled waters in the fridge and fruit on top waiting for you. What’s up with the Bathroom? As stated above, all the water for the Cottage is pumped in from water tanks. Please forgive the pulsating of the water and the sound of the pump. These are things we are working to change. The Toilet As the Cottage has no septic, the toilet is an incinerating toilet. Yes, everything is burned to ash! Please follow the instructions behind the toilet to use it properly. You must use a toilet liner EVERY TIME you use the toilet, whether you go #1 or #2, or both, a toilet liner must be put in place first. When you are done, depress the foot pedal on the side to dump your dump into the burn pot, close the lid, push the button on the top of the toilet, and you’re done. You should hear the fan turn on immediately. (If you do not hear the fan turn on, do not use the toilet and contact the Host immediately.) If others need to use the toilet while the fan is running, simply put in another toilet liner, do you duty, depress the pedal when done, close the lid, and push the button on top. The fan will continue to run until the burn cycle is over, and will re-start when more is added. The burn cycle runs for 90 minutes. Warning: Please do not use the exhaust fan in the bathroom while the toilet is running. Doing so will starve the toilet of air, causing smoke to fill the Cottage. Warning: Not using a toilet liner every time will damage the toilet, resulting in the toilet not being functional, the Cottage not being habitable, and a $4,000 charge on your card to replace it! The Family Room The family room comes with a 24” flat screen TV, dining table for 4, a mini split which controls the heater and air conditioner, and a futon. The remote for the TV is attached to the backside on the TV. The futon folds down to be a full size mattress. Bedding for the futon can be found in the side table, under the plant. Extra pillows are in the ottoman in the bedroom. Guest access Guest Access to the Property You are welcome to walk the lavender fields, sit in the gazebo, and enjoy the beautiful views. You are NOT ALLOWED behind the gazebo, beyond the fences, or anywhere up hill (east) of the Cottage. This includes the property owner’s residence and beyond. Trespassing will result to you vacating immediately, forfeiting your fees, and losing your security deposit. Other things to note Less than an hour from 6 reservoirs, 13 state parks, 3 universities, world class skiing, dining, shopping outlets, hiking, hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling & more.
