Our little peaceful home is located in the Kettlefoot black bear reserve. Bears can sometimes be seen crossing the road or strolling thru the fields Damascus and Mountain City are only minutes away! Our place offers a big yard to enjoy along with a fire pit with firewood furnished. Cornhole and board games are also available. A nice sitting area on the covered back porch to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The space The property is backed up to the cherokee national forest.Very peaceful setting with no close neighbors.There are 3 bedrooms that are double beds.We allow 6 guests max and 2 dogs max.Good paved road all the way to the house. Other things to note A Dollar General is 5 minutes away. Resturants and grocery stores are about 7 miles away. Doe Mountain Recreation where you can rent a side by side and ride all day or half day is only 8 miles away. Beautiful Watauga Lake is only 20 to 25 mintues from the house. Backbone Rock is a must see with a short hiking trail to a nice waterfall and a nice trail that goes over "The Rock". Directions are available upon request to any guest interested in finding this little hidden gem and is only a 20 minute drive from the house!! The Laurel Creek trailhead is roughly 5 miles from the house is a beautiful hike. The trail also follows the creek and has some good trout fishing.
