We invite you to stay at our peaceful and rustic lakeside vacation home. Full of character and charm, this 1700-square foot 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin sits on the shores of Lake Arrowhead, a small, shallow, and quiet lake. The space The master bedroom, on the third floor, has a king-sized bed and a private ensuite bathroom with a stand-up shower. The main floor has two small bedrooms - one with a queen bed, and one with two twin beds - and a shared bathroom. Also on the main floor is an equipped kitchen and an open-concept dining and living space which opens up to a screened-in porch with calming views of Lake Arrowhead and the Maine woods. On the lower level, there is a recreational space with two futons and a pool table. Also on the lower level is a third bathroom with a tub, a basement bunk room with three beds, and a laundry room available for guest use. All beds have fresh clean linens and the bathrooms are stocked with towels. You will be charmed by this quaint home, but you will be even more captivated by the rural setting. This cabin has beautiful, natural surroundings ready for you to explore. There is a 22" charcoal grill and a two-burner propane grill available for your outdoor barbecues. Two kayaks and a canoe are available for your use. Or bring your own personal tubes and floats to enjoy right off our small private dock. While the lake floor directly in front of the home is mucky and not ideal for swimming, a short 150-yard walk along the water’s edge brings you to a small sandy beach, perfect for a swim. For hot nights, there is a window air conditioner in the upstairs master suite, in the queen bedroom, and in the twin bedroom. The basement bunk room and the main living space have no air conditioning. The interior walls in our cabin are quite thin, with no soundproofing or insulation. Sound travels easily through the walls and through the floor. In the fall and spring, enjoy the scenery from the screened-in porch, fish from the dock, take the kayaks out for a spin, or roast marshmallows over the campfire. Bring bicycles to explore the dirt roads that surround Lake Arrowhead. In the winter, bring snowshoes or cross country skis and explore the area around lake. Stay cozy indoors by the wood burning fireplace and enjoy special time together. Bring your snowmobiles and use the trail not far from the cabin. Please note that we are on a small cove of Lake Arrowhead that has a constant stream of running water, so the lake rarely freezes over, even in the coldest part of winter. We ask that you respect our neighbors and the peaceful environment of the lake. We do not permit parties or events. We have a strict no smoking policy. Pets are not allowed on the property. Guest access Please note, while ten people can sleep comfortably in this home, the indoor dining and living space is small. The dining room table seats 6 people. There is a leaf to extend the table and some folding chairs, so seating 10 people is possible, but cramped. There is a picnic table on the screened-in porch for additional seating at mealtimes. The living room seats 6 people comfortably. Other things to note The cabin is just 2.5 hours from Boston, but it is quite a ways off the beaten track. It is in a small, rural Maine town called Limerick. The Limerick Supermarket is a family-owned supermarket, just 5 minutes away by car, and it has almost anything you might need to prepare meals for your stay. But as for restaurants, large supermarkets, activities, and big box stores, the closest are 45 minutes away.
