The cabin is located at an altitude of 1,200 meters on an idyllic alpine pasture. It can be reached in the summer by car via a slightly steeper, coarser groomed forest path. If you have an SUV, you have the advantage. In winter, it is just off the ski slope. Directly from the cabin you can start to extensive ski tours and snowshoe hikes. We transport the luggage with the polaris on arrival and departure. The cabin is very quaint, cosy and equipped with many loving details. The space The cabin has fully equiped kitchen. Cooking is done on the large stove, which also heats the living room at the same time. The wood is provided and there is an instruction for the use of the fire pit. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower and is heated by the stove so that you will find a sufficiently warm bath even in the deepest winter. Hot water is provided via a water bag in the stove. If the stove is heated, you will also have enough hot water for the kitchen sink or shower. Electricity is available through a strong photovoltaic system, which provides enough electricity for all the consumers you need on an alpine hut even on days with bad weather. All energy-intensive activities such as cooking, heating or providing hot water are powered by wood, which we beat as firewood on our alpine pasture. Combined with the strong photovoltaic system and the drinking water from our source, you live completely self-sufficient and sustainable on the cabin. For all the amenities the cabin offers today, we have placed emphasis on staying the cabin as original and "almeric" as possible. Other things to note In winter, the hut is located in the small but fine ski resort of Wurzeralm. It can then only be reached by ski, this is relatively easy because it is located directly on the ski slope. At 4 pm the lift closes after the last ascent. After that you are alone in nature. Upon arrival and departure, we transport the luggage with the polaris to the cabin. The car can be parked free of charge on the day and night parking lot of the Wurzeralm funicular.
