Pondmodern: Renovated Midcentury Ranch
Our family-friendly house is the perfect spot to explore everything between the Berkshires and the Hudson River. We are part of a lake association known as Taconic Shores on Robinson Pond, a true mid-century resort development established in 1957. Less than a 5 min. walk to our private beach, you can enjoy swimming, picnics, boating, and fishing. Grab our little red wagon and head out for a beach day. For the colder months, we are a 15 min. drive to Catamount for excellent skiing. The space Bright and airy, the house has been fully renovated with luxury and designer touches: solid white oak floors, marble bath tile, all new windows, Zellige tile hearth, new wood-burning stove, stainless steel appliances, organic cotton and linen bedding. The house has a massive backyard abutting the woods. We have a large fire pit, outdoor seating, campfire and s'more making equipment, and Weber gas grill. For kids, we have a saucer/disc swing attached to our large old oak tree. There is also a small playground set in the backyard. For swimming in the lake, you have access to inflatables, kids' puddle jumpers (2), towels, and red wagon for transport. If you'd like, you can use our Old Towne canoe to explore the lake. Our sun-room/mudroom entryway is the perfect place to unload and unwind. The kitchen features all you could need to cook and host. The bedrooms are serene and cozy with all new mattresses. Please note the only TV is in the master bedroom--good company, the wood-burning stove, a delicious meal, and board games, are the only entertainment you truly need! For families: we have all kinds of kid amenities (booster chair, Baby Bjorn travel crib, blackout curtains in kids' room, toys, books and more toys and books). The house design is very kid-friendly: all one floor and no furniture with sharp edges. We have outlet protection. For summer renters: we have portable AC units in each of the bedrooms but we do not have central air. If you have any specific questions or requests, please feel free to reach out. Check out our insta @pond_modern Guest access You have full access to the house, our backyard playground, and the lake association's amenities: beaches for swimming (2 private), boat access, picnic area, and swings.
