The space The north-east of Schleswig-Holstein is known for its diverse and beautiful nature with picturesque bays and beaches, green hilly landscapes with bright rapeseed fields and numerous nature reserves with rich flora and fauna. The Olpenitz Baltic Sea resort is being built in the middle of this unique natural landscape between the Baltic Sea and the Schleim estuary, near the town of Kappeln. On the 150-hectare site of the former naval base, a top-class vacation paradise is being created with a wide range of activities. The surrounding nature invites you to slow down from everyday life. Enjoy long walks and bike tours or relax on one of the region's beautiful beaches. In addition to enjoying your vacation in nature, the resort's central location and proximity to the small town of Kappeln also gives you the opportunity to go on excursions in an urban environment. The town of Kappeln, which is known from the ZDF series 'Der Landarzt', offers numerous sights, such as St. Nikolai's Church, the Amanda windmill or the famous Kappeln herring fence. This has existed since the 15th century and is now the only one of its kind in the whole of Germany and Europe. It is definitely worth a visit for fishing enthusiasts and the whole family, especially on Ascension weekend, when the Kappeln Herring Days are celebrated in honor of the fence! Experience the hustle and bustle of a city on the Baltic Sea and visit one of the many restaurants with a wide range of dishes - often typically Nordic, of course, with the best and freshest fish dishes! Other things to note The "Backbord" vacation apartment is located on the first floor and offers just under 80m² of space for up to 4 people. In addition to a light-flooded living area, a fully equipped kitchen and two cozy bedrooms, there is also a bathroom with an infrared sauna. The fully equipped kitchen offers great cooking evenings and in the cozy beds you can escape the stress of everyday life and sleep in during your vacation. In one of the two bedrooms you will find a double bed (180×200cm) and in the other two single beds (90×200cm). Both bedrooms can be darkened for a good night's sleep. We are happy to provide a travel crib and a high chair for our younger guests. You can end your evenings on the sofa in front of the flat-screen TV, while the fireplace provides pleasant warmth and coziness. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the terrace and on colder days, the infrared sauna invites you to warm up and relax. A highlight is the terrace, where you can spend barbecue evenings with the whole family on the electric grill. A private parking space is available.
