Great location! Book your stay at the Benjamin on Franklin…walking distance to Westport train & all of the fun Saugatuck bars, restaurants & shops. During the summer, kayaking is only steps away. "Benji" is the newest sister property to popular "Minty" (Araminta on Thames) in Newport, RI. Updated, spacious and comfortable. 2 bedrooms, living room, eat in kitchen & both patio & porch. Sorry but no animals or smoking. No exception. Pls don’t ask. The space The bedrooms each have a queen bed. 4 guests maximum and sorry but sleeping on the sofa is NOT allowed. If you have a larger party of 5-8 people, you can rent the entire property which includes the Saugatuck unit upstairs. Living room has Smart TV so you can log into any of your favorite accounts. We do not offer basic cable because our guests prefer using streaming accounts. Other things to note The pros: The Benjamin on Franklin is close to everything…shops, bars, restaurants, train, water sports. Everything is brand new as of 12/22 (furniture, linens, lighting, kitchen items including glassware and utensils, etc.) Front and back porch/patio are cool spots for sipping cocktails or coffee. No need for a car if you don’t want to drive because everything is walking distance but plenty of parking if you do have cars. Ability to rent both units for a larger group. The cons (every property has them): Close to 95. Like really close. However, once inside the house you won’t hear the traffic. No smoking. No animals. No exceptions so please do not ask. My own sweet service poodle isn’t even allowed there. Nightly rates are: Riverside (2 bedroom) on main level: $165-180/night (sleeps 4) Saugatuck (1 bedroom plus queen sleeper sofa) on 2nd floor: $125-$150/night (Sleeps 4) Rent both (with interior access option so feels like one unit) for larger groups : $350-375/night
