The condo sleeps 6 & is in the gated Kawama Community of Key Largo, surrounded by JOHN PENNEKAMP CORAL REEF STATE PARK. Marina boat slips may be available for rent. The space Come and experience a relaxing and fun-filled stay in our deluxe and spacious condo that sleeps 6 comfortably. The unit is luxuriously furnished with a modern leather sofa with 3 push-button recliners, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with a large eat-in counter & stools and a suite of modern stainless appliances. Free high-speed WiFi and Cable television are included. When out and about, take advantage of the amenities offered by Kawama, a gated & guarded beach resort community. Head south to visit the beach area for swimming, snorkeling or sunbathing. Ride out to the jetty, where you may fish or snorkel and in the late afternoons, you can sit down with a beverage and watch Key Largo's amazing sunsets. Other outdoorsy activities include a dip in our private Oasis pool (available to Tower condo guests only). It is equipped with a chiller/heater that keeps the water at a comfortable temperature all year round. Travel to the west where you'll find newly resurfaced lighted tennis courts to play tennis or pickleball. For watersports, go to Kawama's 3-acre salt-water lagoon (right in the center of the community), which has a beach area with chairs. From there you can launch your paddleboards and/or kayaks. You can also swim and snorkel in the lagoon, which is stocked with many local marine species. You may even spot our famous 4-ft-long tarpon chasing the smaller fish. Everyone, but especially the kids love to see all our wildlife around Kawama, such as iguanas, lots of large aquatic birds and the manatee cow and her calf that usually swims into our Marina area. You can plan a day of kayaking and paddleboarding to explore our many surrounding waterways through the mangrove tunnels. As you finish the large loop, you end up at the dolphin pen, where an organization called Dolphins Plus keeps and nurses dozens of friendly dolphins. You can launch your kayaks at our ocean beach or at our marina ramp. We can provide maps showing the waterways around Kawama for kayaking and paddle boarding. Just ask your hosts for the maps, as well as recommendations to local restaurants, bars, etc. And when you are not out and about sunning and having fun, you can watch any of the three flat-screen TV's provided. You will also find DVD movies, board games, books and magazines in the living room. Or sit at the bar and mix yourself a 5 o'clock cocktail. Now you can grab your drinks and go sit on the balcony, overlooking the ocean, the pool and the boats in the marina. The condo is located oceanside within the private Kawama Yacht Club, a 24/7 gated and guarded beach community in Key Largo, the key closest to the Florida Mainland. You will be just 50 minutes south of Miami and only 95 miles from Key West. *Please note that you will be required to complete a waiver prior to your stay in order to use the kayaks, paddleboards and bikes. Guest access Guests of the Kawama Tower building have access to the entire condo pictured and described here and its balcony, plus its private laundry room. The hosts also give you access to 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 2 bikes, tennis rackets & balls, pool floats, a cooler, beach chairs and fishing rods & tackle. In the Tower building area, guests have access to the central landscaped Atrium, the gated (heated & cooled) Oasis pool and the parking areas. In the Kawama community, guests have access to the 3-acre lagoon and its beach, 2 other community pools, the coastal beach area, the Marina ramp and the fishing jetty. Other things to note Regarding our Cleaning Commitment for COVID19: We understand the concern of traveling now, and we want you to feel comfortable where you stay. We have always used professional cleaners in all our rental homes, but now have a deep cleaning protocol every check-out. Cleaning practices will be according to CDC (Centers for Disease Control) as well as all bedding laundered before each check in. This will include bedspreads at every checkout. We will have waterproof mattress pads and pillow covers that will disinfected before reapplying bedding at every checkout.
