Newly constructed cozy creative loft ("treehouse") in serene peaceful forest setting near Rock Creek and a walking mile from Skamania Lodge, with separate bedroom/sink, full bathroom, full kitchen, and den with couch/pull out queen bed, lounge beside window for forest viewing, gas wall fireplace, deck overlooking forest. Chickens on site. We strive to be friendly to the environment, using many materials in the construction that are considered LEED certification worthy. Lots of windows. The space The property is set in the trees, with areas of sunlight at various times of the day. You can hear the creek and waterfall nearby. There is a green space buffer of 200 feet between the property and the creek where no building can ever occur. The property line is 15 feet from the loft into the forest. The loft is on the second floor of a 12 x 36 building with an 8 x 8 L shape. The trains can be heard in the distance. There are lots of windows, and glass to provide an open and airy feeling, with lots of lighting for minimal or bright settings. There is no sheet rock in the entire second floor and the exterior and interior walls are insulated with Ultratouch recycled denim; all the walls and floors are wood except low pile carpeting in the entry area and bedroom; 100% wool rug in living room, leather Dania sofa with queen pull out bed. There is a 3 inch hundred percent organic latex bed topper on the queen bed in the bedroom. There is olive oil, salt/pepper, coffee (caf and decaf), black and fresh dried herbs tea, two French presses, small drip coffee maker, water boiling glass kettle, wee waffle maker, etc. The back yard has a metal fire pit and natural gas, weber barbecue grill. Guest access Guests have full access to the upstairs loft and deck, with chairs and table, and a misting system for hot days. Guests also have private access to the backyard and side yard area. The property boundry is 15 feet from the forest side of the building. There are seasonally lots of plants and herbs in the backyard and a picnic table in the side yard. Other things to note The Dania sofa in living room pulls out into a queen bed. The bedroom queen bed has a 3 inch hundred percent organic latex topper. A weber natural gas grill is available for use in the backyard. There are lots of fresh herbs for your cooking enjoyment, if you don’t see what you want, they may be located somewhere else if available, please ask! Also available for use upon request are guitars and amps, please inquire for more details and other instruments available. Future plans include an outside soaking tub. Free range chickens roam the property, if you do not want any chickens coming around, we will keep them enclosed at your request. The property was once a part of the Iman family homestead. Access to the waterfall is a 23-minute walk or 4-minute drive to the trail. See house manual map.
