Due to high energy costs, just like the other STR's in the area, If you'd like the pool to be heated please review the fee schedule below. April -Oct/$165 for 8 hours of continuous use. November/$185 for 8 hours of continuous use Dec-Mar/$205 for 8 hours of continuous use. Please keep in mind its not a Jacuzzi and temps will vary depending on the desert weather which can drop to 30°freezing. BETWEEN NOVEMBER - MARCH HEATER AVAILABILITY AND PRICING MAY VARY. If the temps drop to freezing we will NOT be able to accommodate your request for the heater. Pool heating is available throughout most of the year except maybe for December-March (inquire with host). The maximum heat during the winter season is 75-80 degrees max so it's almost impossible to heat during the coldest months. If you're familiar with winter in the desert you'll know that cold temps mixed with wind chills makes it pretty uncomfortable in the water regardless of water temps. Most of our Winter guests enjoy laying on our loungers wrapped in cozy blankets we provide, with the firepit on while gazing at the Starry sky. Don't forget the smores and scary stories! During Spring and Summer months heater may not be needed and may reach 85-90° naturally. We'll need advance notice to allow time to heat as heating could take 24 hours to reach desired temperature especially during the colder season. ✺Fire Pit Usage As most of the majority of the homes in the desert run on propane, ours does not but our firepit does. Therefore we kindly remind our guests that due to extremely high propane costs, please be mindful when using the firepit. We do allow usage of it for a period of 2 hours per day. After the 2 hours there's a $25 fee per hour of usage. The firepit MUST be turned OFF after by 11pm. This is due to the local "No burn" fire ordinance to help prevent wildfires. We are on a hill which means we get more winds coming through and this is an added safety measure for our desert. ✺ Photoshoots, Video and Special Intimate Gatherings/Events If you’re interested in doing a photoshoot or shooting a video, please let us know beforehand, we do charge a fee for licensing purposes. We also allow some special gatherings such as intimate elopements and celebrations. Please ask us for details regarding guest maximums. We do charge a $150 fee for all events which exceed the 10 guest maximum. This fee is allocated directly towards additional cleaning and maintenance services. ✺Please remember that when you opt to visit the wild desert, you may encounter desert critters such as lizards, rabbits, bobcats, coyotes, a variety of snakes and more! The host cannot control wildlife visitors and the host is not responsible for any wild life you may encounter during your stay. We will not reimburse you for your stay. We've never had a problem but should a larger animal be let is we ask that you call the host immediately. There are professionals in the area who are happy to assist with safe removal of the animals and this would be the best way to handle this situation. Keep Doors closed to avoid any critters sneaking in.
