The space You are: -A 5 minute walk to Market street, the home of downtown Frederick’s famous antique shops -A cozy, 400 square foot apartment that we like to call tiny living! -On a low-traffic street close to neighbors and nightlife. Ambient noise is unavoidable -Living a tiny house experience! A micro apartment, which is 400 square feet has smaller couch, shower, and appliances to appropriately fit the space -A 15 minute walk to Baker Park, where you can relax and watch a free outdoor concert -1 minute away to Carroll Creek to see the boat display -10 minute drive from Gambrill State Park beach, hiking and campgrounds -25 minute drive to several local wineries including Linganore, Black Ankle, Hidden Hills, & Orchid Cellar -45 minute drive from Gettysburg National Park The space: -Private, off-street parking behind the house -Prime location, in a hip and exciting part of downtown Frederick -This is an upstairs apartment -A historic home built in 1910 that still has charming remnants of the past, like stairs that creak and plastered, imperfect walls -Completely renovated in 2022 (Please note there is a tall flight of stairs to access the apartment) -Dog-friendly ($50 fee per stay) with a small and large pet bed available. Dogs not allowed on furniture. Any damage from dogs will incur a damage fee appropriate to the infraction. We cannot accept cats. -Smart HDTV -Ductless mini split AC and heater maintains a perfect temperature year-round -High-speed internet suitable for multiple streaming devices and remote work Please note that early check-in and late check-out is not available due to our housekeeping and maintenance schedule. Other things to note GETTING THERE -Frederick is about 45 minutes from Washington, D.C, one hour from Baltimore, M.D., and 45 minutes from the Dulles Airport. -The home is located just off of Patrick Street and East Street. PARKING -Private, off-street parking spot ENTRY -Your unique code will be provided 24 hours before you arrive for your stay. The code changes after every guest. The apartment is accessed via a flight of stairs. BEDROOM -Firm, memory foam mattress -Luggage racks, dimmable alarm clocks LIVING ROOM -2-seater Article sofa, handmade side table KITCHEN -Completely remodeled and fully stocked with everything you need to cook for yourself -Mr. Coffee coffeemaker -Electric stove - Kettle -Dishes and utensils set for 2 -Bakeware, storage containers AMENITIES - We provide basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash can liners, dish detergent, towels, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, cooking oil, and a variety of spices. Other amenities for your comfort include makeup removal towels, blow dryer, feminine products and a first aid kit. These amenities are a great foundation! If you’d like extra items or have personal preferences, you are welcome to bring those. THE LOCATION The home is within walking distance of downtown Frederick and a 3 minute drive to the nearest highway (Highway 70). The neighborhood is vibrant and close to nightlife. HEATING AND COOLING A ductless mini split heating and cooling system keeps the temperature perfect year-round. The temperature can be adjusted using the remotes that are mounted to the wall, but all units must be on the same setting, that is all must be on heat or all must be on cooling. INTERNET Fast internet can accommodate multiple streaming devices, browsing the Internet, virtual meetings, and gaming. THINGS TO DO Visit Downtown Frederick’s antique shops, breweries, and restaurants which are all within walking distance. Or, you can go to nearby hiking trails or to a winery. A curated guidebook will offer you multiple options for things to do during your stay. SECURITY To ensure the property’s security, there is an exterior motion sensor light that also has a camera. HOUSE RULES 1. No Shoes Indoors: Please take off your shoes upon entry to maintain clean rugs. 2. No Parties or Excessive Noise: Avoid parties, loud noise, or extra guests after 10 PM. This helps keep the neighborhood peaceful. 3. Respect Plumbing: Only flush toilet paper to prevent plumbing issues. Damaged pipes may result in deposit claims. 4. Pets and Furniture: Keep pets off furniture; use provided dog beds. Pet damage incurs extra fees. 5. No Smoking: Smoking is not allowed inside the house. 6.
