THE NOOK @FIFTYFIVE invites you to take a step back, breathe, and leave the city behind! The space Curiously quaint and delightfully laidback, our tiny (tiny) house has been designed to offer a homely respite to the weary traveler. Despite an expansion project in April 2024, The Nook remains very much a tiny space. The entrance is from the kitchenette. A short passage off the kitchenette leads to the small room which in turn opens out to the private courtyard. The small toilet with shower is off the same passage. Shared laundry facilities are located on the ground floor of the main building, accessed via the lift lobby. Note: 1. The bespoke bed 73x51 inches (185x129cm) takes up most of the room, and can be collapsed as a couch for day use. When opened, it leaves 18 inches (45cm) for movement. 2. Headroom is ~72 inches (185cm). 3. The toilet with hot water shower is 32x70 inches (81x177cm) which provides just enough space to get your jobs done! 4. The stone floor is rough and uneven. 5. The outdoor courtyard walls have naturally aged and are mostly covered in green moss. We love that it goes well with the rustic ambiance. 6. We mean it when we say it's a tiny house - if you have any concerns, please discuss with us before booking to ensure your expectations are managed! :) Guest access The Nook is a private annex that's tucked away to the rear of the property. Access is through the parking area. The Nook does not come with dedicated parking, however, we can accommodate a motor bike. Other things to note THE NOOK is the tiniest of tiny houses. Please consider the restricted spaces before making your booking. The indoor spaces have a headroom of 72 inches (185cm) which is below standard height. The sofa bed measures 72x51 inches (185x129cm); ~full size and takes up most of the room when opened. A 40kva back-up generator gives uninterrupted power supply. Especially in times when the country is experiencing an extended period of dry weather, it's not unusual for the island to have power outages. Weekly housekeeping with a change of linen is included, with our compliments. Please read our House Manual for more information.
