Two ensuite bedrooms, doubles plus king sofa-beds, toilet/hot shower each room. Watch crested cranes, turacos. Swim the lake, walk to Fort Portal and round the lake, visit adjoining lodges, tour our indigenous forest, visit the rift valley. For extra guests ask for the tent (garden campers shower/toilet available). For pre-teen children, no charge. The space The cottage is connected to the national electricity utility so there are is electric light, hot water showers in each bedroom, fridge, electric kettle and microwave in the kitchen (which is enclosed and lockable, you have the key). Water supply is also continuous with piped supply. The sitting and dining area is the verandah with beautiful views and exciting birds upfront. Next door (direct access from our garden to their garden) is a lodge with a restaurant and drinks and quick access path down to Kyaninga lake where you can swim. You can also walk round the lake, with gorgeous views all the way. See also our rooms in Kampala: 2-room suite in hilltop garden home Spacious room in hilltop garden home Delux room in hilltop garden home Pretty-room-in-hilltop-garden-home Guest access 5 minutes from Kyaninga lodge and 20 minutes from Fort Portal on quiet back roads to Mountain of the Moon Hotel and a separate direct road to Mountains of the Moon University, Lake Saka and the Rift Valley ridge. Cell is excellent so you can connect to internet. Full access at all times since the rental is for the whole house. You can walk in the indigenous forest which is part of the compound (our gardener and guard Richard is a farmer/forester, and can give you a tour of the varied flora, fruits, crops). Other things to note Richard can start you off on a path round the lake (4km, an astonishing scenic walk), and show you teh way down to the lake shore where yo can swim. He is also available to go fetch foods and drinks etc from the local show or even from Fort Potal.....as a guideline any such extra work should be tipped per occasion at 5k, 10k UGX. He can find motorbike taxis to shop for you and transport you. It is a friendly environment both humanly and in terms of flora/fauna (we generally don't notice even mosquitos). Of course we take no liability for your safety or health during you stay but can assure you its a super safe environment. Your immediate neighbors are the Kyaninga Royal Cottages lodge (our garden gate lets into their garden, they welcome you to take drinks and food there or walk through down to the lake, they will guide you) and an artist next door, plus other immediate neighbors all of whom are helpful.
