Only 20 minutes from Jay's Peak Resort, our spacious and cozy 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms can comfortably accommodate 8 guests. Whether you are looking for a base to go skiing, hiking or want to sit back and relax, this is the place. The space Charming, cozy, peaceful, this recently updated cabin in the woods is the perfect place for a family or friends getaway. A fully equipped kitchen awaits and provides the opportunity to cook a big breakfast, lunch or dinner. Treat yourself in our gourmet kitchen, equipped with new high-end appliances or use the outdoor BBQ to prep delicious meals you can serve inside at our 10-seat table or outside on our deck. Feeling outdoorsy? Go for a dip in our superb pond which has floating swimming raft, boats and lifejackets for your use. Go for a walk through our surrounding forest and take in the beautiful nature around the 2 fresh streams flowing through the property. Finish the day with an intimate fire pit get together in the backyard or relax with a book on the deck or screened-in porch and enjoy the view--you will see lots of birds and squirrels, and may see a deer or our local flock of wild turkeys! Once you’re done exploring the surroundings, have a seat on our enormous fluffy couch in the spacious living room and watch a movie ( for those cold winter nights, the fireplace will keep you warm). If you’re feeling like relaxing to music, just connect to play your favorite tracks on our whole house Sonos sound system. During your visit, please feel free to enjoy the television, board games, books, popcorn, coffee and tea. Please note that there is no cable TV, only Netflix. We have a furry family member and our house is dog friendly, so while all spaces will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival, if you are allergic to dogs, please feel free to inform us so we can take extra precautions. This is a wonderful house to bring your dog(s) but please notify us before booking so we can make special arrangements. We have food and water bowls and comfy dog beds for your use. We only ask that there are no wet or dirty dogs in the house and no dogs on the furniture and beds. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house minus the basement (unfinished) and the garage as well as a locked closet in the master bedroom. We have ample parking at the top of the driveway near the house. In the winter time its likely that the snow plowing company will come and you might need to move your car so that he can plow the entire driveway. Other things to note We can comfortably sleep 8 people in the house as well as 2 additional guests on pull-out sofas. Please note that there is a $50 charge per guest per night for groups larger than 8 people. For all groups larger than 8, please message us prior to booking. There is a whole-house back-up generator that runs automatically when the power goes off so be assure that you will be fully covered during emergencies or power-outages. There is no cell service on our property (for any cell carrier). We have a landline that you are free to use for short calls and is available for emergencies of course. We have recently installed Starlink Satellite Internet which provides high speed internet access (up to 100 Mbps) with plenty of bandwidth for all guests. The connection even reaches down to the pond. Please be sure to read through the House Manual upon check-in. It will help you make the most of your stay, as well as remind you of a few requests we make to keep you and our home in good shape.
