We've tried to think of everything that could help make your stay more comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing. This is a beautifully updated historic home located just off the main road leading to the Historic Downtown McKinney Square. We are also less than a mile to Highway 75 & just north of Highway 121 if you plan to explore more of DFW and surrounding areas. The Cottage itself has a very warm feel and the space is laid out well. The front of the house has 2 main living areas. The family room has comfy seating for your whole group and a 58" Smart TV. There is a queen pull out sofa in this room and we've provided USB ports for phone/laptop charging in every room of the house. The Tasting Room has a quaint built-in cabinet with a "Leave a book/Take a book" section as well as games for groups of all sizes. The large dining room with a designated work space opens to the spacious kitchen and all 4 rooms create a circle for great guest flow. In the Tasting Room, there is a sliding glass door that opens to a small stairway down to a private deck and patio area. Here, you can click on the string lights and have a seat around the gas fire pit or throw something on the grill to enjoy at the picnic table. The whole property is designed for relaxation & fun! Just off the dining room, there is a pocket door that leads to a hallway with the 3 bedrooms, laundry area and guest bath. All 3 bedrooms have king beds, nightstands with USB charging ports, large closets with plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases, ceiling fans & 50" Smart TV's. Bedroom #1 also has a full en-suite bath with a jetted tub, a sliding glass door to the backyard area and an extra large walk-in closet. **If you live in the DFW area and plan to book Cypress Cottage, please note that you must correspond with the host as to your reason for booking. We love to host DFW locals if you're truly planning on using the property as a home away from home...not as a location for parties or dinners that you don't want to host at your own home. This house is on a beautiful residential street in historic downtown McKinney and it is not to be used as a local "venue". No "parties" allowed (more than 10 people on the property at any one time) and quiet hours are from 11pm-7am. Thank you for helping us keep our beautiful historic home in great condition! Guest access You'll have access to the entire house, backyard and patio areas and 2 driveway parking spaces. Other things to note Cypress Cottage has lots of amenities to help our guests enjoy the property. We've added plenty of mirrors and hooks throughout the house for those times when everyone is getting ready at the same time. In the laundry area, there is an iron, ironing board and steamer available for your use. In each bathroom, we have make-up towels, magnifying mirrors & blow dryers available as well as more USB charging ports.
