A "Caribbean art gallery disguised as a villa" describes our inclusive Octopus Villa on the Lagoon. Newly opened in Jan'23, the villa contains 50 original paintings by some of the Southern Caribbean's leading artists from the owner's own vast curated collection. Octopus Villa also boasts a unique separate "granny" flat with its own private garden and luxe bathroom, along with three floors of spacious living space, and a newly-built private plunge pool on the deck overlooking the lagoon. The space Land (top floor) Filled with original paintings of Caribbean houses, this large room is filled with sunshine and views from the windows on two sides lining the walls. With space for up to 3 guests (1 king size bed & 1 twin), this large room also had an enclosed tiled shower and cabinet sink. Two chests of drawers are provided for storing holiday clothing etc. Fully air-conditioned and here is a brand new Smart HD TV with Flow cable tv and complimentary Netflix. Sea (master bedroom floor) The view across the king size bed is a wall of gallery paintings of beaches by various Caribbean artists. There is a brand new Smart HD TV with Flow cable tv and complimentary Netflix, and a dedicated workspace with writing desk, chair and internet-connected 27" IMac so that our guests can surf the net, check emails and work remotely. Beautiful mother of pearl lamps match the mother of pearl encrusted decorative sea themed pillows on the bed. Brand new comfortable mattress and pillows, fully air-conditioned. Hand carved heavy standup mirror placed alongside of the bed. Charging station with small light next to the bed. View the sunsets every evening on the lovely outside gallery with irrigated tropical plant garden and comfortable wicker chairs from Restoration Hardware. Enjoy the array of birds that are nesting seasonally in the plant garden, as you observe sea turtles swimming and surfacing in the lagoon below. There are two large spacious closets with wooden hangers, and a large safe for keeping valuables secure. Hairdryer, ironing board & iron are located in this space. Marble countertops, bathtub with shower in a separate bathroom ensuite. Ground floor A newly renovated (finishing Dec'23!) fully stocked kitchen with brand new European Smeg oven, Smeg dishwasher and Smeg stove top welcome you to self-cater, and there is a brand new Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine for those early morning perks! A microwave, double door fridge, along with Nutribullet, coffee bean grinder, coffee frother, blender, toaster, full set of pots & pans etc also are on hand for guest use. There are white ceramic dishes, contemporary gold brass cutlery, crystal rocks/crystal port & sherry glasses, and glass wine glasses along with placemats, napkins and table runners. Alternatively, there is a full set of heavy blue melamine plastic dishes & trays, and plastic glasses for poolside and deck use. There is a combo washer/dryer for in house laundry on this floor, along with a powder room with toilet and sink. The living room has a very comfortable brand new beige linen loveseat sofa and a single chair suite (Dec'23) for comfortable seating, and a large 52" Smart HDTV for viewing with Flow cable tv and complimentary Netflix. There is a reference library of 50 books on Barbados, and over 20 fiction novels for entertainment and learning in the living room for use during your stay. Also, a basket of board games is on hand for guest use. The dining area has a wooden table and seating for 6, and a bar stocked with a free complimentary bottle of fine Barbadian rum and a bottle of Bols liqueur, antique crystal glasses & decanter, and bar tools set. There is an antique mahogany Barbadian bar cart with antique tea set (teapot, sugar & creamer, six teacup trio sets (tea cup/saucer/dessert plate) from Japan. Fully air-conditioned ground floor with ceiling fan. Outdoor Deck An exquisite handmade 7 foot shell mirror is the pièce de résistance on the outside deck area. A newly-built private plunge pool is the highlight of the deck area, along with the brand new outdoor grey L-shaped sofa, and outdoor dining area for 4. Relax and read or tan pool side on the two grey S-shaped loungers from France, and two white ceramic stool tables from the former Speightsown Hugos Restaurant can hold your poolside drinks comfortably. Hang your DKNY beach towels on the Barbadian handmade towel rack outside. Observe turtles, eels, tropical fish, coral formations and sea anemones from the private dock of Octopus Villa. Avail yourself of the complimentary water taxi to & from Pier 1, the onsite restaurant where the mega yachts anchor, using the private dock of Octopus Villa. Air (The Bird Apartment) A unique addition to Octopus Villa is the separate Bird Apartment which is separate to the rest of the unit, as you enter on the right. Consisting of a bedroom with white wooden sleigh bed and nightstands, this air conditioned private space has an ensuite bathroom with bathtub & shower, toilet & sink. Fully air-conditioned, brand new 43" Smart HDTV in the room with complimentary Netflix, two closets, large wall mirror. There is also a very private enclosed mini garden area attached with irrigation and tropical plants, and a bistro table with two chairs for morning coffee and quiet reading.
