Come relax on our happy farm in the magical mists of the Roanoke Valley! Our private guest suite with its own entrance & patio is serenely located amidst lovely views of our landscaped gardens, playful horses, & magnificent mountains. If you want a place to kick back, unwind, & rejuvenate, our comfy guest suite is for you! We welcome singles, couples, small families, long-term guests and small pets <50 lbs on one night stays for an addition charge. Please see our requests in our house rules. The space My husband and I were born and raised in the South and pride ourselves on offering friendly Southern hospitality to all our guests. We love entertaining our kids and grandkids and have two sweet dogs who are available for belly rubs. Your private suite is over 400 square feet and has its own keypad entrance so you can come and go as you like, plus you have parking available just a few feet away. The bedroom in the suite is cozy with a queen bed and super-comfortable luxury mattress and topper that guests rave about. You have a wardrobe to hang and store your clothes and a half bath en suite. The living area offers you a sofa that can be used as a second bed, a bistro table and chairs, a 42-inch HD tv, DVD player, and a curated collection of DVDS for you to enjoy. Your third room offers a compact kitchen area on one side with half-size refrigerator, microwave, hot plate/toaster oven and a separate shower and vanity on the other. Please note, no smoking is allowed inside the suite Guest access The entire guest suite is yours to enjoy with its own patio and parking. You are also welcome to relax in our beautiful outdoor seating and bbq/firepit pavilion and to help yourself to delicious home-grown tomatoes and vegetables from our garden when in season. The wrought iron bench overlooking one of our pastures is a favorite spot for guests to unwind with a cup of tea or glass of wine as you enjoy the peacefulness of the horses, the fresh mountain air, and our spectacular Roanoke Valley sunsets. We have a trail giving access to the back of the property that starts behind the shop/garage that you are welcome to take advantage of where you'll be sure to see a deer or two and other wildlife. Other things to note Our household is typically quiet except for the occasional family gathering or visit from the grandkids. During the daytime you will be surrounded by farm and family life. We will be respectful of your peace and privacy but dogs will be dogs and will bark when someone comes to the door. You may also hear the sounds of meals being prepared as we go about our daily routine. The horses and chickens may even make their presence known! At night time the sounds of crickets, a distant train whistle and even far away coyotes are possible. If you don't enjoy animals, this is NOT the listing for you. If you ARE an animal lover, you'll fall in love with our happy little farm. We will be respectful of your space and are always happy to provide suggestions for the best sites, trails, activities, and restaurants to visit nearby.
