Originally constructed in 1992, this 2,166 foot square Cape Cod style lodge has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a modern kitchen. Exposed natural timber and stone interior blend with all natural hardwood floors providing guests with the truest sense of modern cabin life. Guests will find themselves in this woods retreat, the lodge offers Dish TV and WiFi via a wireless system. Virginia Tech and Blacksburg are the two primary draws to the area in addition to a variety outdoor activities. The space The timber frame cabin has two big screen TV's with DISH network, WiFi and a Game Room. The modern kitchen has everything you will need for culinary art. The kitchen opens onto a deck with a grill overlooking the Jefferson National Forest. The house is full of Amish furniture made by local craftsman. All wooden furniture is for sale at very reasonable pricing. Two fireplaces add to the charm of the rustic cabin lifestyle. However, they are being switched to gas fire places per the direction of the Fire Marshall. So until you hear it from us, do not make ANY fires. Guest access The whole house is for the guests. Other things to note Due to an insurance issue with the fireplaces, absolutely no fires are allowed in the fireplaces, and no open flames. Efforts are being made to turn them into gas fireplaces. Battery-operated candles are provided for ambiance. Guests will be asked to sign a rental agreement to acknowledge that they have read and understand the house rules, which are in place to ensure the safety of the guests and protect the integrity of the lodge.
