Come make memories at our unique, lake front log cabin. With early American/Native American influences, the rustic interior reflects the splendor of the great outdoors & has a mixture of charming seating areas surrounding the property, including 2 decks, a hammock, fire pit & wooded area out back. The gourmet kitchen & restaurant grade stove will delight any chef/foodie. 4 BR’s have brand new mattresses, The other 2 have futons that fit 1 person, & the LR sofa converts to a tempurpedic mattress. The space Dear Guest, Welcome to our home. We absolutely love it here, and have many fond memories and are happy to open our home to you. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets or smoking. A few things to note before your stay.. The house sleeps 8, but the price listed includes up to 4 guests. The fee for each guest above 4 is $100 per person, per night. The house was built almost 100 years ago, and renovated in 2021. As is typical of homes built in that time period, particularly log cabins, the bedrooms are smaller than normal. We also use well water and a septic tank, so please be mindful.. Because of this we are mostly comfortable with smaller groups of 4 or less people during a visit. This is glamping at it’s finest, rustic living, but lovely. Two of the BR’s have full sized mattresses, one BR has a queen sized mattress, and one BR has a twin sized mattress, perfect for a younger person or a child. The last two bedrooms have futon mattresses that sleep one person each. One of those bedrooms can also be used as an office as needed. Extra blankets, pillows and towels are located in the dresser or closet of the bedroom you’ll be sleeping in. Some of the bedrooms also have portable heaters (not all of the rooms need it). There are many books and board games to enjoy in the game room and numerous streaming movie channels in the living room. We have lightning fast Wi-Fi and TVs located in each BR & the living room, where you can sign into your own Netflix, Hulu or Amazon account. You can connect your device to the Bluetooth speaker in front of the television in the living room. The dining room seats six. There is a fire pit, a hammock, and two outdoor seating areas, and a grill which you are free to enjoy as well. Nearby, there is golfing, jet skiing, tennis, fishing, bowling, wine tasting and a movie theatre. There are also several thrift stores (including a high end one), and you can find yard and estate sales everywhere. In the colder months there is ice skating and skiing. We hope you’ll love staying with us.. *PLEASE NOTE! There are security cameras located on the front and back doors of the house. Guest access There is a keypad lock on the back door of the house. Once you book with us we will send you a code. Other things to note The property uses well water and has a septic tank, so we ask that you kindly refrain from flushing anything in the toilet except for toilet paper. Please NO PAPER TOWELS (or feminine hygiene products). We also ask that you refrain from smoking anywhere inside the house. Please do not remove the bedding or heaters from the bedroom that you find them in. In addition, please do not remove items from the house. The area truly is rustic, and as such, the wildlife is abundant. For this reason we must ask you not to put your food refuse outside of the house during your stay. Please bag it up, and leave in a trash bag in the kitchen upon your departure. Alternatively you can bag it up and take with you to dispose of during a day trip out. Lastly, we ask that you kindly be respectful of our home. It means the world to us.
