Welcome to Sandy Shore ! This sparkling clean home is perfect for family vacations, romantic getaways, remote work stays, or travel professionals seeking for mid-term rentals more than 30 days. The space Only a block and a half from the beach, you can see the ocean from the deck and from the second story of the house. We recently renovated this home (2023) intensively from the stud out (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, windows, siding, roof … ect …) with the goal of delivering a fantastic experience for our guests. This two-story home is fully fenced, with enough room for your family to enjoy their island getaway, with all modern amenities including central A/C, high speed internet, WiFi with in-home office space, three flat screen smart 55 inches TVs, full size washer and dryer. Two huge upstairs bedrooms can accommodate 8 guests with 2 king and 2 full size beds. A dedicate workspace with desk and office chair in each bedroom is ready for your remote work. A monitor, keyboard, and mouse will be provided upon request. The downstairs bedroom can accommodate 4 guests with 2 twin bunk beds (2 adults on lower beds, and 2 children on upper beds). The kitchen is equipped with cooking and dinnerware, new stainless steel appliances (microwave, side-by-side refrigerator, stove/oven with air fryer, dishwasher), Keurig coffee maker, instant pot, toaster, rice cooker, blender, tea kettle. Enjoying your morning coffee on the back porch or a wood deck that is furnished with seating, outdoor dining, and gas grill. View the ocean and Mardi Gras parade on Seawall from the upper deck. The front driveway has parking for up to three vehicles, plenty of street parking in front and on the side street, plus a big empty lot behind the house (43’ X 60’) can accommodate many trailers. There are beach towels, beach wagon, umbrellas, portable chairs, beach toys, floats available for your convenience to enjoy full day at the beach. Just a short walk or drive to all seawall attractions, including restaurants, shopping, fishing piers, bike and jet ski rentals, and Pleasure Pier. Less than a ten minutes drive will get you to Schlitterbahn and Moody Gardens. The Strand Historic District offers walkable shopping, eateries, and bars. The island also offers many historic mansion tours and has several museums, The Bishop’s Palace, the Art Center, the Tall Ship Elissa, the Train Museum, the 1894 Opera House, the Mosquito Fleet, Fisherman's Wharf, deep-sea fishing charters. Two cruise terminals, Texas A & M University, and University of Texas Medical Branch are only 3 miles away. This home is also suited for longer stays in the off season. Extended stays require 30+ nights, and are exempt from 15% hotel occupancy tax. Please inquire thru the host. Guest access This house is set up fully for guest use with the exclusion of an owner's closet we keep for supplies. Other things to note IN CASE OF NATURAL DISASTER, YOU ARE GUARANTEED TO GET FULL REFUND. CHECK-IN EARLY, CHECK-OUT LATE CAN BE FLEXIBLE: If no guests check-out on the day you check-in, you can check-in early. If no guests check-in on the day you check-out, you can check-out late. Please contact host for the time. LUGGAGE DROP-OFF: Your luggage can be dropped-off anytime on your check-in day in the side yard with locked gate.
