Welcome to Wally's Fish Shanty on the Lake Moultrie Canal. When the water is up, there is world class fishing and Kayaking right outside your front door! This is the perfect retreat for a single, couple or parent/child looking to get away and enjoy a sportsman's paradise. Fishing poles/tackle and a cooler are provided as well as 2 sit in kayaks on premise for your use. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the town and enjoy Lake life for a little while. Boat slip available for an added fee. The space This is a small, studio apartment that is set up much like a hotel. There are 3 units on the property, this one is in the back building, downstairs on the canal. The property is directly across the street from the big water. There is not a full kitchen, but a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. We offer amenities such as common use of a grill, fire pit and shared use of a washer and dryer. The dock is right out your front door! Perfect for fishing or putting the kayaks in and exploring the lake. Please note we have no control over lake levels. They tend to be high in the warm season and lower in the winter. In extreme drought they may also be low. When the water is too low the access to fishing and kayaking may not be available on site but is within a few miles. Feel free to ask about current lake levels when booking. Guest access Shared access to the dock, back yard and grill. Laundry facilities are in the garage, and shared with the upstairs neighbors. For an additional fee we may provide parking for your boat at the slip, parking for your trailer and a private ramp to put in right up the Canal. Other things to note If your interested in kayaking we offer kayak tours. We can take you to some of the lakes most beautiful treasures or amazing fishing spots. Let your host know in advance and we can book one for you. Tours are 75 per person, 2 person minimum and are 3 hours long. We can give you the “lay of the land” so you may explore them further on your own during your stay. The tour is sure to make for an unforgettable experience.
