No motor boats please. ***This property has been treated for Browntail Moths The space This boutique stay is a year round home to be enjoyed throughout any season. It is a quintessential summer getaway and a peaceful retreat in the winter. Walking into Manor House you are greeted with a large open living room, dining room, and updated kitchen. A screened in porch overlooking the property and lake is the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee from the coffee bar. The primary bedroom with private bath make this convenient first floor living. Up the original staircase to the second floor there are two bedrooms and a shared full bath. Please be mindful of the low ceiling at the bottom of the stairs. Manor House was built in 1900 and has been a year round home for years. As charming as the cottage is, it is not a luxury hotel. While modern amenities have been added over time, the home predates central air. Window air conditioning units are in 2 of 3 bedrooms with fans in the 3rd and seem to be fine for most (as it tends to cool off at night) but the house can get warm on those few really hot summer days. Radiant heat takes time to warm a home, the wood stove provides instant heat in the main living area. Guest access You will have full access to Manor House during your stay, enjoy the home as if it were your own! There are 2 kayaks, canoe, SUP, floats, life jackets, fishing poles, beach towels, and lawn games all of which we share with our guests. The fire pit, two docks, and beach is shared with our small community but closed to the public. Other things to note OUTDOOR FUN - There is a 2 person canoe, 2 single person kayaks, and SUP to have fun exploring the lake. We also provide Coast Guard approved life jackets, beach towels, and floats. There are 4 adult, 2 kid, 2 small kid/toddler size options. For safety, we strongly recommend wearing life jackets any time you're on or around the water. There are also 2 fishing poles and a basic tackle box. Lawn games, area hiking, golfing, and the Village are great off-water activities. Rainy day? There is a cabinet full of games and puzzles which are great for playing on the screened in porch while listening to the rain patter on the roof.
