We have 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, and in addition an extra "toys and games" room on the landing between the main living room/kitchen floor and downstairs bedrooms, as well as an extra "pool room" off the pool, and also a huge laundry room w brand new washer and dryer. There is a writer's cottage at the base of the property. This will be unoccupied but locked and unavailable to you during your stay. We keep our personal belongings there. A host will check you in. You won't see us unless you need someone, but we are available by text 7 days a week! This is NOT a party house. We rent to fun-loving folks and especially FAMILIES who seek tranquility in paradise. The house is welcoming, the POOL is fabulous, the YARD is huge, the KITCHEN is gourmet, the laundry room is so great, and what a VIEW! Included in the rental is the use of our 3 beginner (foam) surfboards and 4 body (boogie) boards, snorkel gear, and pool floaties. Here, the cool nights are a wonderful contrast to the warm sunny days. The temperature is just chilly enough most nights to want a light blanket, but warms into the 80s during the day. We keep all our doors open all day. Still, the 3 Bedrooms DO have AC units. Mosquitoes are almost never a problem, but we leave all our doors open all day so we do have geckos and the occasional flies or cockroach. We mention this because guests not familiar with Hawaii have been startled the first time they see bugs. This is normal - life in the tropics! We call it Wild Hawaii. Nothing is dangerous or too troublesome! In fact, the geckos eat mosquitoes and we love them! Guest access We're at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac which is perfect for kids to play ball or skate. You enter through a front gate and walk along a gorgeous pathway through the trees to our front door. There is the 1/2 bath and a small dresser for keys on this level. Then walk down a few stairs to the main level, where you will find stunning views of Diamond Head, mountains and ocean. Here is a massive living room, a dining room, a full kitchen, and an office with desk and view of the treetops. Also the wrap around deck with a giant table and tons of chairs for outdoor dining, which we do almost every single night, as well as a Weber grill. One more flight down and you're at the pool level. Master bedroom and bathroom open to pool, as does the guest bedroom and bathroom. There's also a kids bedroom and bathroom. The hall closet is filled with kids toys, we have kids books on the bookshelves and stuffed animals galore, and plenty of family games and art supplies. The pool has a big covered area with another large table and benches, a hammock for relaxing, and then a huge grassy lawn for running and playing. Entire property is YOURS with NO ONE ELSE intruding on your privacy! The garage is filled with sports gear. Other things to note MUST be able to climb stairs! You will need a car.
