Nestled at the end of a private drive, this charming Lake Centralia home boasts picturesque views from all angles. Featuring a boat dock, hot tub, tree swing, multiple hammocks, decks, fire pits, dining areas, and lounging options, you could spend your whole trip outdoors! The masterfully crafted home ushers the lake vibes inside with expansive windows and stunning views. Enjoy the chic, cozy ambience, comfortable furnishings, and expertly appointed amenities to make your stay one to remember. The space This house is perfect for a family, groups of friends, or small business retreats. It sleeps 8 people comfortably in beds, but queen sized, self-inflating air mattresses are also available to accommodate up to 4 more guests. The home features a stone fireplace, high ceilings, tons of windows that fill the home with natural light and provide great vistas of the lake and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Location: The house is situated on "The Point", named for its location along the main bend in the channel, allowing you to watch pontoons, speed boats, fishing boats and jet skis sail by throughout the day. Because it's on The Point, the location offers remarkable views of the lake from sun-up to sun-down. It's also directly across from the public boat dock where you can launch a boat of your own and park at the dock on the property. (See Rules for more info about boating!) Outdoor Accommodations: Water lovers can enjoy swimming in the lake, paddle boarding in the cove, and kayaking/canoeing around The Point (BYO kayak/canoe). The rest of the crew will find plenty of other ways to take advantage of the space, whether they want to fish, socialize, relax in the sun or shade, build a fire, or barbeque on the grill. Water areas: Upon arrival you will be immediately greeted with views of the lake, where you will find the boat dock and hot tub. A wood deck leads to the hot tub directly overlooking the lake, and beyond that railroad ties bring you to the dock where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, and sunbathing. You'll have access to the outdoor shed by the dock, where life jackets, a stand-up paddle board, and some water toys can be found. You may bring your own boat, kayak or canoe, though a sticker is required which you may purchase in advance or through lake patrol once you arrive. Bring your own fishing gear, inflatable rafts, and other water toys. Seating/lounge areas: Two huge wood decks are located on separate sides of the property, where you can relax on a double chaise lounge, enjoy a glass of wine at the umbrella-covered conversation set, or start a barbeque on a charcoal Weber grill with gas starter. Towards the tip of The Point, you'll find a fire pit with benches, chairs, and a picnic table. A covered brick patio on the outside of the home provides additional seating options with shade during the day and lighting at night, perfect for playing cards and socializing. Hanging from the trees is a single seat rope swing for kids to enjoy as well as a swing bench overlooking the lake, perfect for sunrise/sunset viewing. Hammocks are placed around the property for the ultimate place to take an afternoon nap or read a good book. Indoor Accommodations: Inside, you'll be dazzled by the tall ceilings, stained concrete floors, custom carpentry, and SO MANY WINDOWS throughout. The décor is rich in eclecticism, mixing high quality MCM furniture, fun lighting, antiques, chic decorations, funky wallpaper, luxe textiles, lovely plants (air purifying!), and so much more, giving a comfortable vibe in this old-meets new lake home. Guests visiting in the fall/winter can enjoy the heated concrete floors and a wood burning fireplace. Yellow Table Room: The front room of the house (if you're coming from The Point), expertly dubbed the Yellow Table Room, is perfect for those getting off the water and looking for a place to relax. A fun yellow table provides a great place to play board or card games (lots of awesome games provided!). Lounge on the long couch, belly up to the bar, relax in the hanging chair, play some foosball, or grab a drink from the mini fridge. This room is sure to please all ages! Living Room: Beyond the Yellow Table Room, step into the main area to discover a spacious open floor plan housing the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The living room has incredibly high ceilings, a stone fireplace, flat screen TV (set-up with all of your favorite apps including Prime, HBO Max, and Hulu access) and a large leather couch, making for the ultimate movie night. The living room also features a fun record area complete with an old turntable (currently not working, hopefully soon!), a modern record player with speakers, and an excellent variety of LPs to choose from. Dining Room: The nearby dining area offers a drop leaf table with formal seating for 6, though table service for 10 is provided. A sideboard filled with extra linens and serving items and a silverware station are conveniently located in the dining room as well. Kitchen: Those who enjoy cooking or hosting will feel right at home in the kitchen. Granite countertops, 6 lighting options, high quality cookware, grilling tools, serving platters, cheese boards, drink pitchers, loads of cooking utensils and kitchen gadgets, and spices are ready for your use. An island equipped with four bar stools maximize the hangout potential for this space. Guests are welcome to any food in the fridge and freezer. A bar cabinet near the island houses extra wine glasses and liquor. Coffee is provided, as well as a coffee grinder and French press. A hand juicer is also available for those that enjoy fresh squeezed juice with their morning breakfast (or mimosa!) Utility Closet: A utility closet is near the kitchen, where you will find a drink fridge, washer/dryer, and cleaning supplies, if needed. Quiet Bedroom: Located at the back of the home and away from the action on the water is the first bedroom. With a queen bed, a bunk bed (full/twin combo), dark curtains, and a mounted, adjustable TV, the front bedroom is a perfect kid's room, movie room, or place for an afternoon nap. A sliding glass door leads to a small balcony, which is the perfect spot for enjoying your morning coffee and sunrise. Guests have access to the large closet and dresser drawers. Main Bathroom: A full, large bathroom off the kitchen features a double sink, jetted tub, and an extra spacious shower with two shower heads and separate temperature controls. The water pressure here is excellent! Plenty of soft white towels will be available, as well as a few beach towels, if needed. Master Bedroom: In the master bedroom on the side of the house, you'll be tucked away in a king bed with super soft linens and a view of the lake from every single window—you are sure to wake up to the sound of waves and birds each morning from this room! The master overlooks the outdoor, covered dining area and is also furnished with a couch and coffee table. The original wood floors in the master bedroom are stunning. WFH Accommodations: A dedicated workspace (small desk and mounted double monitors) is provided in the master bedroom in case work calls during your stay. The monitors are connected to a Surface Pro Docking Station, which you can instantly connect to if you have a Surface or similar Microsoft computer. Other laptops can be connected directly to the monitors if you provide the proper cords. Wifi is the best we can get in the area, but the home is in the country and can be spotty at times (though it's getting faster and more reliable! -per WFH host that lives here when guests are not booked). Master Bath: An attached full bathroom accompanies the master suite, with a brightly lit vanity, windows for natural lighting, two shower heads, and a stone tiled floor. Again, the water pressure is AMAZING! The shower overlooks the lake and offers refreshing views amidst the shower steam, especially in the morning when lots of cranes (tall birds) wander near the lakeshore. If you are into birdwatching, co-host Sherryl can provide more info on what's around! Loft Bedroom: Upstairs, guests will find a lofted bedroom with gorgeous wood flooring, a queen bed, a velvet couch, and built in bookshelves. Completely surrounded by upper windows, this room offers nearly 360° views of the lake and is a cozy place to settle down with a book or puzzle. Parking: We can only accommodate 2 cars unless special requests are made in advance to park at a neighbor's place (additional fee may apply) Guest access Guests have access to the entire space, other than one linen closet that will remain locked.
