Our welcoming cabin is situated on spectacular Candleset Cove with lake frontage and a large new dock with plenty of quality space for everyone to enjoy swimming, boating, paddle-boarding, kayaking, fishing, and chilling in the hammock or by the fire pit. 2 miles from Candlewood Inn and 1.5 miles from Elephant’s Trunk Flea market. 75 miles from NYC. The space The main second floor includes a newly remodeled kitchen with an adjacent dining room that seats seven with lake views. The living room with fireplace, comfy seating and lake views is a great place to read, relax or play games. Two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and lake views, a second bedroom with a bunk bed (the bottom a full and the top a twin). Also on this floor is one full bathroom. The core original cabin feel is lovingly maintained with modern updates such as new flooring throughout and double doors from the modern kitchen leading to a new outdoor deck with a grill for outdoor cooking. The first floor boasts a bonus room with a bunk bed. Bean bags make this a fun added hangout area. A comfortable work desk with high speed Wi-Fi allows this room to double as a remote work space with bonus lake views. A large private dock for your boat or jet skis. Two paddle boards, a double kayak and fishing poles ensure lake fun for everyone. Adirondack chairs by the fire pit. Whether you are seeking sun or shade, you have an ideal location to unwind and later enjoy beautiful sunsets from this western facing dock. Guest access The house, waterfront and dock are completely yours during your stay except the garage and first floor storage area. Other things to note Only steps to the lakefront from the house crossing the road. A short drive to the local park, supermarkets, liquor store, shops, restaurants, antiques, and wineries. Picturesque New Milford town is a must-visit.
