Welcome to Sea Life Cottage, a true ocean front historic cottage offering unobstructed beach and ocean views. This vintage cottage is a cozy place to create new family memories. Sea Life offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a comfortable living room, and a full kitchen. The cottage offers ocean views from the back deck, enclosed screen porch, queen bedroom and living room. If you want the convenience of being ocean front, and only steps from the beach, then Sea Life is the place! The space Sea Life Cottage is a vintage cottage directly on the Atlantic Ocean side of OBX. The home has a washer and dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage has the original ship lap walls. Future renovations include the primary bedroom and bedroom. The hall bathroom was remodeled January 2024, along with adding a new outdoor shower adjacent the covered driveway. You cannot beat the location and convenient access to the beach. You can grab your beach chair, and your beverage of choice, and walk to the beach. Head back to the house to make lunch or take a nap, then head back to the beach. No long walks or having to park nearby and lug all your gear to the beach! What could be better than the convenience of being ocean front and making it as easy as possible for you and your loved ones and friends to enjoy the OBX! I want everyone to be knowledgable of what our lovely cottage offers, and doesn't. Please respond to the embedded question in the House Rules section in your original request which lets me know you've read all about our home. We don't want you to be surprised upon arrival that our home doesn't fulfill your wishes. Guest access There is enough room for two large or three small vehicles on the driveway. Public parking is available a block-and-a-half away for extra vehicles. Please do not park in our neighbor's driveway. Please do not do a 360 degree turn in the driveway. To avoid doing a 360 degree turn in our driveway, please either back into the driveway so you can pull forward when leaving or when you leave back into the street. Our northern property boundary is literally the north edge of our home. Please do not request to park in the driveway prior to check-in time. Between guests, the house in cleaned, and any required maintenance is attended to. It is an inconvenience to these individuals to have to deal with a vehichle parked in the driveway any time they are at the house. Thank you for understanding. Other things to note In your initial request to stay at Sea Life, please respond to the embedded question in the House Rules section which will signal to me that you've read our homes information and that you're familiar with its amenitities. Please use the outdoor shower to remove sand before entering the home. If you use any of the beach toys please rinse off for the next guest before you leave. Beach towels are provided. If used, we ask that you launder them prior to your departure. Please do not park in our neighbors driveway. We purchased the home in November 2020 and are continually updating and renovating the cottage. In 2022, the house was lifted, both front and open back decks replaced, a new septic tank and leach field installed, along with an outdoor shower (enclosed 2024). In January 2024, the hall bathroom was remodeled which included moving the washer/dryer outside of the bathroom to a hall closet. All the furniture was purchased in April 2021. Future renovations include the primary bedroom and bathroom.
