Sugarloaf Chalet
Charming mountain chalet with fireplace, firepit & shuttle bus to Sugarloaf
The space Sugarloaf Chalet In so many ways, a stay at Sugarloaf Chalet gives you the best of all worlds. Enjoy the woodsy charm of a secluded mountain cabin with the convenience of an association shuttle bus that runs to and from the base of Sugarloaf Mountain. This private, two-story chalet sits on the slopes of Sugarloaf, which at 4,237 feet is the second tallest mountain in Maine. You'll be less than six miles from the base of the resort with its 14 lifts and 162 trails and glades across 1,240 skiable acres. This is a place to ski and snowboard all winter, admire the colorful foliage come autumn, and spend your summers mountain biking and teeing off at Sugarloaf Golf Club (seven miles). Come home from a day of adventure to shed your gear in the mudroom and make yourself at home in a living space that's both modern and atmospheric. Curl up by the gas fireplace to toast your toes, watch movies on cable and DVD beneath exposed-beam ceilings, and get started on a hearty dinner using stainless steel kitchen appliances. In the summer months, slide open the glass doors to barbecue on the gas grill, admire the view of the forest from the deck, and gather around the firepit in the backyard to roast marshmallows. As the day's clothes spin in the washer/dryer, you can retreat to one of three bedrooms - one on the main floor and two upstairs. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM.
