Located in Weeki Wachee Gardens, FL launch right off the back deck for a short paddle to the crystal clear Weeki Wachee River. Enjoy the area by using one of our provided 7 adult & 2 youth kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 1 canoe and life jackets of all sizes. Swim with manatees in the backyard canal or fish right from our private dock where you can also tie up your boat or enjoy a short boat ride to the Gulf of Mexico. The space This space is all about having a good time with family and friends. The private canal system is located directly behind Seahorse River House where you can tie up your boat or take a provided kayak, paddle board or tube directly to the beautiful Weeki Wachee River or the open Gulf. A trip upstream features crystal clear waters, Florida wildlife, including manatees and even sometimes dolphins for an experience that you'll never forget. Continue downstream with beautiful views and restaurants along the shore and ending with access to the Gulf of Mexico. Within an easy drive from the Seahorse River House you will find restaurants, movies and shopping. The Upper Deck and La Bella Napoli are great family friendly restaurants located within walking distance and the grocery stores and bars are just a short drive away. Relax and enjoy a large concrete entertainment area with lots of outdoor seating, shade and a breeze. There is also a large screened in patio to sit and relax, share a meal or play one of the many provided board games. There is a lot of space for entertainment. We provide 7 adult & 2 youth kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 5 tubes, 1 canoe and life jackets of all sizes for a leisurely paddle down the private canal into the main Weeki Wachee River (5 minutes away). There is also a bike available to use. The Weeki Wachee Springs state park is 4.6 miles away and has a live underwater performance by the nationally recognized Weeki Wachee Mermaids. Your family can get a first-hand encounter with some of Florida’s native wildlife with the wildlife shows at the park. You can even take a river boat cruse for an educational one of a kind experience. For your convenience, you will find a washer and dryer inside the home. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, wall oven, electric stove stop, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, a microwave and all the utensils you should need. We provide starter laundry detergent, dish soap and sponge and paper towels for your convenience. The upstairs balcony has a seating area, the large living room has beautiful and comfy couches for you to relax and watch a movie on Netflix or Prime Video (large DVD selection also provided). The large sofa pulls out to a queen size sofa bed. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and private bathroom with a large soaking tub. The guest room has 2 twin beds and a queen bed. It also features a nice large closet space. There is a 2nd full bathroom in the house in the main hallway across from the 2nd bedroom. We also have a 6 seat dining table, a 4 seat breakfast table as well as a foosball table for some inside fun. There is also a half bath under the house on the ground level, conveniently located near the patio. Three flat screen TVs are provided, one for each of the two bedrooms and one for the living room area. Firesticks are installed on the bedroom tvs and the living room has a smart tv. WiFi is provided. We emphasis cleanliness and have housekeepers come in after each stay to thoroughly clean and sanitize the home. Garbage pick-up is included and is picked up Tuesdays and Fridays. We ask that you place the garbage cans at the end of the driveway. Guest access Guests are free to enjoy the entire home and we have a large paved, shaded, hang out area downstairs that includes a nice, shady, bug-free screened in porch directly next to the private canal. Other things to note - There are stairs leading up to the home - We DO NOT allow pets - No smoking/vaping anywhere inside the home - No parties or more than 8 guests - Master closet is locked and used for housekeeping supplies. Please do not attempt to break in to the closet.
