The bedroom window displays a picturesque view of the Berkshire hilltops. The fire pit offers a stunning view of the Catskill Mountains. This 27-acre property features nearly a mile of walking paths, is 3 minutes from Tivoli, 5 minutes to Bard College and Germantown, and 15 minutes to Hudson, Kingston and Rhinebeck. Across the street is the historic Clermont House, with picnic tables overlooking the Hudson River, and the famous Olana site is just down the road. Welcome. The space This is a brand new tiny house. The bedroom has a full bed, and the loft has a queen size mattress pad, which can serve as a bed or as extra reading / relaxing space. There is also a kitchen, bathroom, deck and lots of outdoor space. While sleeping 4 is possible, it's more comfy for 2. It is a tiny house after all, so 4 people might bump elbows a bit. One side of the loft is also open to the bedroom. Please note: if you are 2 people not sharing the bed, and planning to also use the loft area for sleeping, kindly select "3" for the number of guests, which adds the extra bed cleaning fee. The property has unbeatable mountain views, especially from the fire pit. It gives quite a sense of awe, and we are humbled to be stewards of this land, a large part of which we leave wild, with just the walking paths winding through. Step from the house onto your own private great lawn, with a picnic table, big skies and more expansive views. To the north you'll find an entrance to the walking paths. To the south, about 150 feet, is an old barn. On Monday-Thursday afternoons I teach private music lessons in the barn. It is well soundproofed; you will have quiet and privacy. Students will share the parking area during those hours. The fire pit area has another picnic table, a pergola, grandiose views of the nearby Catskills, and distant views of the Berkshires on the other side. It is likely to be only yours, unless you happen to be here on one of the few small gatherings we have each summer, in which case you're eagerly invited to join us. New York State has a regulation about firewood being purchased within 50 miles; it's available at local gas stations and supermarkets. Please fully extinguish any fires safely and responsibly.
