Located on Chaumont Bay of Lake Ontario in Upstate NY, this one-of-a-kind home offers breathtaking views, access to the Great Lakes, and ample ways to make memories. The space This house has a rich history, with property dating back as far as 1876 and the current home being built in 1900. When renovating this home, there was a certain care taken to blend the original charm with modern living to make it what it is today. Located in the town of Three Mile Bay, overlooking the Chaumont Bay of Lake Ontario, you are steps from the public boat launch with the benefits of a private vacation rental and all the other amenities we offer. When you walk in the front door, you are met at the entryway mudroom that has a one-of-a-kind handmade bench to drop your bags and hang your keys to start exploring your new vacation home. In this room, you will also find a wall-to-wall closet for storage and items you can use during your stay. On the first floor, you will find a spacious open-concept living area with plenty of seating for movies or a fire on the wood stove. Our kitchen features all the essential cooking utensils, pots and pans, a refrigerator, stove, microwave, bullet blender, electric kettle, and 1 cup Keurig. Many herbs and spices can be found in the kitchen or garden. The kitchen offers a dining table with seating for six and a small sunroom with access to the backyard. Next to the kitchen, you will also find a newly renovated bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Directly across the bathroom is a top-loading washer machine and dryer. On the second floor, you will find three bedrooms, with two of the bedrooms featuring a shared outdoor balcony with multiple seating options. The blue room features a queen-size bed, private workspace, TV, and storage space. Our green room features a full-size bed, personal workspace, TV, and storage space. Last, you will find our largest room with a twin bunk bed, two separate twin beds, tons of storage space, and a TV. Each bedroom has AC units and baseboard heating for your comfort. The charming garden is partially fenced, offering multiple seating options. Memories can be easily made at Heron’s House. From private kayaking and BBQing while watching the Swans to roasting marshmallows by the fire, fishing in the lake, or swinging on the hammock chair, there is something for everyone. Guest access Access to the home is keyless and directions will be provided shortly before your stay. The entire interior and exterior of the property, with the exception of the basement, is accessible to guests. For parking, there is a private paved driveway in front of the home fit for 2 vehicles. Heron's House is located on the Bay of Lake Ontario. We do not offer these items, but we have a private launch for kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. For motorboats, the public boat launch is conveniently located 15 yards next to our home. Boat parking is permitted as long as it stays within the paved driveway and does not intrude or interfere public roads.
