Come relax in our cozy 3BR/2BR Wintergreen home that sits peacefully at the end of a cul-de-sac. While offering serenity and privacy, you will only be a 5 minute drive from the slopes, resort lodge, restaurants, Chestnut Springs Pool, the Nature Foundation, Upper Shamokin Falls hike, and more. The gravel driveway is fairly flat and there is parking for 3 cars. The deck offers a picnic table, loveseat and chairs with a fire table, gas grill, Foosball table & partial mountain views in Winter! Foyer: Entry table, coat closet Living Room: Couch; 3 chairs, smart tv and sound bar, wood burning fireplace, dimmable lighting, games Dining Room: Table that seats 6; sliding door leading to deck (high chair in downstairs bedroom closet) Kitchen: 3 counter seats, soapstone countertops, farmhouse sink with garbage disposal, dishwasher, fridge, gas stove/oven, pots and pans, toaster (in pantry) toaster oven, K-Cup and Krupps drip coffee brewers. K-Cups/coffee provided. There is sugar/stevia, spices, oil, and condiments. Kids cups/plates in pantry. 1st Floor Bedroom: King size bed, sliding door leading to deck, multi-charging cable and block, bluetooth speaker (connect to Notabrick Kibe), dresser and two closets (high chair and pack-n-play in closet), work desk. 1st Floor Bathroom: Claw foot tub, separate shower with rain shower head, toilet, washer and dryer, cleaning products, water shut off valve (all in closets along wall opposite sink and bathtub). Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Upstairs Bedroom #1: Queen size bed, multi-charging cable and block, desk, books, dresser, closet Upstairs Bathroom: Full bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, body wash provided Upstairs Bedroom #2: Full Size Bunk Beds, twin pull-out trundle, smart TV, kids books, ring toss game (behind closet door) Deck: Picnic table, Foosball table, patio furniture, propane fire table and a grill, firewood, security camera for safety (also at driveway and home entrance) Yard: If you walk around the left side of house and follow a short path, there are two Adirondack chairs. Additional firewood stored under tarp. Entire home While I will not be there in person, I will just be a message or call away to provide assistance or answer questions during your stay. Our cozy cottage is within Wintergreen Resort. Fire & Frost, the Spa and the Nature Foundation are ~ 20 minute walk/3 minute drive. Guest membership to The Nature Foundation is included. The Mountain Inn, ski slopes, restaurants, the Market and Discovery Ridge Adventure Center are within a 5 minute drive. The Aquatics & Fitness center is reserved for members only (unless you book a premium spa treatment, then you have access for that day), but this property has access to the HOA pools at Chestnut Springs on the mountain (94 Timber Camp Dr) and Rodes Farm in the valley. These pools operate from the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Unaccompanied guests of property owners may use the pools from 2pm - 6pm daily. With a guest pass, six guests can access the pool. In addition to the pools, there are two fresh water lakes with swimming nearby. Lake Monocan, a 20-acre lake and park operated by the resort that is located at 239 Camping Ridge Lane in Stoney Creek. There is a fee per person to enter and it is closed to the public on Saturdays. Sherando Lake Recreation Area is also nearby. Families enjoy picnicking in this wooded area, and relaxing on the sandy beach of a 25-acre spring-fed lake. Access to multiple trailheads and rustic architecture provide numerous points of interest for families to enjoy. $8 per vehicle up to 8 passenger capacity for day use. During winter, you'll want to reserve ski rentals in advance; availability fills up fast. You may also be able to purchase lift tickets in advance. Check the Wintergreen Resort website for more info. Tubing sells out quickly as well, they release new tickets on Mondays around noon for slots open that week. The parking lots fill up fast so I recommend going early, but you can also pick up the shuttle at the Wintergarden Aquatics and Fitness Center and Spa parking lot. Please note: We are not considered "resort members" so you will not have access to certain amenities such as Devils Knob Golf Course, Devils Knob Grill, or the Wintergarden Aquatics and Fitness Center and Spa (however, you can book a spa treatment to access that and the indoor pool, etc.). The use of motorcycles is prohibited on the mountain. Guests driving motorcycles will need to park at the Wintergreen PD and have transportation up to the house. A 15 minute drive down the mountain will lead you to Devil's Backbone Brewery, Blue Toad Cidery and Bold Rock Cidery. Not too much further is Silverback Distillery, Blue Mountain Brewery, wineries (like Cardinal Point, Veritas, Afton Mountain and Hill Top Berry Farm), orchards, antiquing, and so much more. Other areas of interest: Humpback Rocks, Crabtree Falls, Ravens Roost Overlook, Critzer Family Farm, the Blue Ridge Tunnel in Crozet (while in Crozet, try Fardowners, Crozet Pizza, or Pro Re Nata), Luray Caverns, Virginia Safari Park, Natural Bridge, Walton's Mountain Museum, Monticello. You can walk to some hiking (the Old AT has a trailhead at the end up Hemlock Dr; additional hikes along Wintergreen Dr). The Nature Foundation, Spa and Fire and Frost are approximately a 20 minute walk. Otherwise, you’ll be driving to most destinations.
