Lucy Blue Bird Suite
Full of character, this lovely suite is nestled upstairs in an old farmhouse under the oldest giant oak in town. Minutes walking distance to beautiful Norwich University as well as the village where you can grab farmers market goods, a beer or dinner from the fabulous local brewery, or an ice cream treat! Enjoy your private balcony, or hangout in the fenced in yard. You’ll enjoy cooking in the fully equipped retro inspired kitchen, and relaxing in the massage chair in the little bonus office. The space Upstairs apartment with a lovely large front bedroom: queen sized bed and a large closet. Small second bedroom with large closet and twin sized bed (trundle bed pulls out but does not leave much room to walk around.) There is a small bonus office room accessed through either bedroom, with a massage chair, desk and bookcase- perfect to close off and relax, read, do yoga… The living room has a fold out futon (it’s not great for sleeping on unless you’re one of those weirdos who can sleep anywhere.) The apartment has been freshly renovated and painted with fun wall paper and bold retro influences. This isn’t the Ritz, it’s a 170 year old farm house with slightly sloping floors and doors that might need a little elbow power if it’s humid or cold - but if you’re staying here, you’re like us and love homes that tell a story! If you haven’t been to Vermont, you should be prepared for the weather: it is a beautiful beast, we suggest bringing all weather gear, slippers, layers, and although we plow, there may be times you’ll need to shovel out your car or throw down some salt -we’ll provide both. We love that we get to share this old girl with you and hope to make your stay as comfortable as possible - please reach out if we can accommodate you in anyway. We’re also happy to send you a nice discount for weekly or extended stays! Guest access Access available to upstairs apartment through front porch and hall. Guest are welcome to use front porch or back yard accessed by walking around house to the right and through back gate. All parts of Barn/garage/loft, root cellar and basement are unsafe for public use and not to be entered at any time.
