Welcome to our unique and unforgettable deer-themed 4-bedroom homestay experience, nestled in the heart of Johor Bahru. We are strategically located only 1 minute away from KSL City mall and the ever popular Night Market! Apart from our lavishly designed home adorned with deer-inspired décor, Rusa Cottage also features in-house entertainment including a foosball table and a full-sized multi-gaming arcade, making it the perfect choice for families, friends, or anyone who loves to have fun! The space At Rusa Cottage ('rusa' means 'deer' in the Malay language), you'll be greeted with an inviting deer statuette along with similarly themed ambient lights that will immediately put you at ease. The living room is tastefully decorated with deer-themed accents, luxurious furniture and custom fixtures and fittings that result in a cozy and elegant atmosphere that's perfect for relaxation and recharge. In addition, in order to provide endless entertainment for our guests, our living room is equipped with a 55-inch wall mounted TV unit (Netflix ready), a competition grade foosball table, and even a full-sized gaming arcade unit with over 8000 preloaded games! The dining room is equipped with a custom-made solid hardwood dining table and a combination of upholstered bench seat and hardwood stools to provide ample seating for up to 7 guests at a time. Do not forget to take a picture of our unique multi-antler chandelier that charmingly illuminates the dining area, which more often that not is a focal point of discussion among our guests. The bedrooms are equally stunning, each of them individually decorated featuring plush queen-sized beds adorned with soft linens and deer-themed accent walls. Each bedroom is equipped with accommodating ambient lighting to instantly de-stress and make you feel at home. Bedrooms 1 & 2 are designed with natural colour accents and luxurious interior that follow the general theme of the homestay. Bedroom 3 encompasses our unique way of contributing to the environment (by utilizing repurposed pinewood from shipping pallets) in the construction of the custom-made tatami style bedframe and interior furniture. Bedroom 4 is designed to be more upbeat in style, while still incorporating deer-themed features into the overall décor. The kitchen cum laundry room is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your favourite meals including a gas stove, microwave, refrigerator as well as an upmarket water purifier unit to provide ready-to-drink hot and cold water. In addition, we have also prepared a washer/dryer unit to cater to your laundry needs while residing at our homestay. Guest access Guest have access to the entire house including the outdoor porch and parking area. All amenities within the house and are free to be used by our guests. Please make yourself at home. Other things to note Vehicles may be parked at the following locations: - 1. Within the house compound (1-2 available parking spaces) 2. Directly outside the main sliding gate (1 available parking space) (Guests should note that their vehicle, when parked in this position, impedes any vehicle already parked in Location 1, and should be moved in order to facilitate any vehicle moving into or out of Location 1) 3. The pathway directly opposite the homestay (Public area - subject to availability) 4. The pathway located one house to the left of the homestay (Public area - subject to availability) Kindly note that apart from Location 1, the other parking spots are legally considered as part of the public area. The host does not own any rights to these locations and guests should park at their own risk if they deem it necessary to do so. We urge our guests to be considerate to the neighbours and not park their vehicles in any way that may impede the entry and exit way into the neighbouring residences, or in any position that may totally or partially obstruct the traffic flow in the vicinity.
