Centrally located on a small Island community - come see "the way life should be" The space Welcome to my home, nestled on a picturesque island in midcoast Maine. Designed with queer travelers in mind, the accommodations offer a safe and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. The bedroom has been thoughtfully designed to ensure privacy and comfort for all our guests. The room has a queen-sized bed, a private bathroom and a coded lock on the door. Guest access There are no restaurants on the island - there are a few options for lunch, the market has pizza nightly, and the cafe serves dinner on Fridays. Guests can access a fully equipped kitchen, and self-serve breakfast items are offered every morning. There are many quiet places on the property and the island to unwind with a good book! (feel free to borrow any that you may find around the house - there's something for everyone.) Centrally located on the island, the home sits on 4.5 acres, much of it wooded, and waiting to be explored! You can walk to one of the public waterfront spots, or a short drive can get you to several trails. If you know Maine, you know a sandy beach isn't what to expect - but there are definitely great spots for hanging out, just ask! During your stay This is my full-time residence, I work from home most days (occasionally working at the island post-office). I am as available as you need me to be. Other things to note There are pets around! There's Finn, my pup who loves everyone, and Nick and Nadja, the resident felines. We're also branching out into ducks and bunnies! so you may see those around too! The island is deceptively big- I highly recommend bringing a mode of transportation. There are no ride-share services here.
