Enjoy the endless character and charm of this home, originally constructed of local sandstone in 1768. The five acre lakefront retreat has lovely waterfront views from nearly every room. While over 250 years old, this home has been meticulously maintained and updated to offer all the modern comforts making it the perfect relaxing getaway. The space You'll enter the large foyer with half bath, step down to modern well-stocked kitchen. The commercial Wolf range with griddle top is just about every chef's dream. Enjoy your morning coffee from the breakfast nook with stunning lake views. Off the kitchen is the coziest living room with ample comfy seating. The huge stone and brick fireplace is a showstopper. Plenty of firewood is provided to enjoy the wood-burning stove insert. From the living you can head down to the lower level with another TV and the pull out sofa. This is where you'll find the laundry closet. Foyer, half bath, living room and basement offer radiant floor heat which feels so luxurious during the colder months. Completing the first floor is the dining room with a table that easily seats ten. On the 2nd floor you'll find two bedrooms, each with a king sized bed and two full bathrooms. The third floor bedroom has two full sized beds. Lower level family room has a full size pull out sofa (and also has heated floors!). Each bedroom has its own thermostat to control the heat while you sleep. The house is cooled by a combination of window units and mini-splits. Comfortably sleeps 7-8 with max limit of 10. Guest access Guests have private use of the whole house and yard. Guests are not allowed in the barn. Other things to note Dogs are allowed based on a case by case basis. We will provide water and food bowls as well as towels to wipe paws before re-entering the property. Feel free to bring your own dog bed. Sofa covers are provided. If there is any damage associated with your pet stay please bring it to our attention. Other than dogs, no other pets are allowed.
