However, the space is not suitable for children 6 and under. It is tall enough to accommodate most any adult in a seated position, but, the standing room is not adequate for adults. (A waiver must be signed prior to accessing the loft space. The loft is opened to below and the ladder is steep. Not suitable for small children.) The porch adds additional living space as it is covered and has a spectacular view! This process is being assisted by the DNR and private Forest Management Company. The goal is to create a sustainable forest canopy to support the natural habitat and provide a healthy environment for wildlife. Heavy equipment will be strategically placed on some areas of the 94+ acre property. Equipment will not be visible from the Tiny House so guests will continue to enjoy the amazing view! Work will be conducted during business hours M-F. No work will be performed on weekends to allow the peaceful, relaxing environment guests of The Retreat have come to enjoy! So, come be a part of this groundbreaking operation to conserve this amazing natural habitat! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It is 22 miles to Little John Stadium; a 30-35 minute drive.
