Ibi Washington House is on nearly eight peaceful acres. Cozy up with a book in the sun room or the hammock chair on the screened-in porch, work from home in the dedicated office space, cook in the fully equipped kitchen, or stargaze under the dark night sky. The house is clean and beautifully appointed and you'll find it stocked to meet all your basic needs. Easily enjoy hundreds of hiking trails, Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, kayaking, and and sanctuary in this modern Berkshire mountain home. The space This home is ideal for up to six people. The very large master bedroom upstairs has a king-sized bed, one of the bedrooms downstairs has a queen-sized bed and the second downstairs room has two twin-sized beds. Living room This is a lovely room with a luxurious, comfortable leather sofa, perfect for a movie night. It faces the wood burning stove and a large window facing the woods. A 55" TV hangs on the wall in the living room. There is a little reading nook and cabinet full of of games and books for your family to enjoy. We've even included a basket of magformers and origami crafts for the little ones. Kitchen We like to cook so we have equipped the kitchen with some of our favorites we like to use ourselves. You’ll have access to a high quality set of gourmet Tramontina pots and pans, very sharp All-Clad knives for slicing and dicing, and most tools needed for everyday cooking, and glass storage containers. When we remodeled the kitchen, we focused on a design with cooking in mind — we imagined a kitchen with multiple sous chefs at the counters and opened the room so guests could chat and have fun while cooking and dining together. We keep the home stocked with tea, common spices, and high quality olive and avocado oil for our guests. At Ibi Washington House, you can get your coffee fix on in multiple ways. You’ll find a coffee grinder, regular automatic drip coffee maker, a french press, and a Nespresso machine. There is a large beverage cooler for wines, beers, and sodas. We will provide you with a few starter drinks. We have the freshest, cleanest mountain water drawing from our deep well. We are certain you will not be in any hurry to buy bottled water. In fact, it is something most guests love the most! Sunroom Meditate, do yoga, or have a cup of tea in this gorgeous room with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the woods. You may even spy a wild turkey, fox, or just possibly a moose walking by in the early morning or evening! Master Bedroom and Bathroom Serene and clean room upstairs, with a premium hybrid foam Leesa Sapira king mattress. There is a 55” smart TV, a mid-century modern dresser, reading lamps, and a luggage rack. The bathroom is well-equipped with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner from Public Goods and/or other eco-friendly companies. Office Through the master bedroom is a dedicated office with all the offerings for a work-from-home setup. You can close the door to the office for privacy. You’ll find a desk, printer, surge protector, a blank wall background for professional zoom calls, and window for soft natural lighting. The town of Washington is lucky to have smart administrators who brought us a great fiber network that allows us to enjoy 1 GB internet, unlike in surrounding areas. You will find it quite zippy. Bedroom 2 Queen-sized mattress with a premium hybrid foam Casper mattress. Large closet, dresser, and large windows facing the woods. Bedroom 3 Two twin-sized beds with hybrid foam mattresses. Large closet, dresser, and a window facing the woods. All streaming services are available on both TV’s. Bring your own account info and sign in easily! Bathrooms There is a brand new master bathroom upstairs (shower stall) and a full bathroom downstairs with a tub. Both are fully stocked with clean towels and full-sized high quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash from Public Goods. Basement There is a brand new washer and dryer in the basement with a case of laundry pods (scented and unscented available). There is also a drying rack. Outdoor Living Space Enjoy the screened-in porch of the kitchen. It overlooks the expansive yard and nearly 8-acres of private woods beyond. Take a nap in the cozy hammock chair and listen to the multitude of birds in the forest or the chorus of tree frogs singing their evening lullabies from the nearby creeks that meander through the property. It is just a stone’s throw from October Mountain State Forest (the largest state forest in Massachusetts!) We have a set of four outdoor chairs and a little bistro table for coffee or tea in the early morning/evening. Backyard We are fortunate to be located on nearly 8 acres of beautiful forest. It is unfenced but you are welcome to explore the property. Our guidebook outlines the area so you have a sense of where to walk. There are heaps of heirloom blueberries we have cultivated around the house and many more that are wild throughout the forest. You are more than welcome to pick them. We have also planted raspberries in the side yard. If you are lucky enough to be there at their maturity, you are more than welcome to pluck them as well! We've recently created a short path through the woods. Bring a travel hammock and hang out in a secret hiding spot in the woods. Feel free to take out the set of Adirondack chairs and grill at the bbq. There are already four separate Adirondack chairs tucked into the woods. The Area We are located in a quiet, hidden gem of a town tucked in the heart of the Berkshires. You’re a short drive to Jacob’s Pillow, Tanglewood, the high end restaurants and art scene of Lenox, and miles upon miles of hiking just from outside the door. The Appalachian Trail runs right through our lovely town and you can hop on it at multiple points. You will also get special access to Center Pond as our guest where you can fish and kayak. Our guidebook is filled with curated recommendations for the area — yoga, restaurants, hiking, kayaking, outdoor concerts, picnic spots, and more! Pets We will allow a well-behaved pet on a case-by-case basis. An additional pet fee will be charged. Cleaning Our housekeeping uses high-quality green cleaning products. If you have any allergies or sensitivities to scents, please let me know ahead of time so we can make sure sheets and towels are washed with unscented products if needed. All mattresses and pillows are protected with dust-mite/allergy covers. An air filter is also available on the premises. We recently installed central air conditioning in the house in May 2024 so summer stays will be very comfortable. You will find peace and sanctuary in this clean, well appointed, modern home. Guest access There are two locked owners closets and housekeeping closet on the property that will not be accessible to guests. Other than, we want you to feel comfortable and like it's your private getaway while staying at the house!
