* Water and mountain views from every room * 980 sf cottage with fully stocked kitchen and laundry * Private deck and outdoor picnic/dining area * Gas fire pit and grill * Short drive to Ala Spit and Deception Pass State Park * Quiet neighborhood with occasional Navy air traffic The space Perched on the high bank near Seal Rocks, this nostalgic cottage boasts water views from every room with expansive outdoor living areas that include a private deck, picnic/dining area with a gas grill and fire pit, and a large back lawn. While there have been several updates, you may experience charmingly unleveled floors or a tricky cabinet drawer. After all, it is a 30's summer cottage. This home is perfect for a couple traveling alone or with up to two small children and/or pets. The single bedroom has a queen bed, with a day bed in the front room. The fully furnished kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware, a coffee station, spices and condiments. The small bathroom contains a clawfoot shower/tub that could be challenging for those with mobility concerns. During your stay you’ll likely be visited by resident deer, eagles and the occasional cat. For this reason we ask that any pets be leashed and supervised while outdoors*. A clean-up station is located near the lawn. Use of deer trails descending the cliffside is not permitted. *See pet rules for more information Guest access Property use is limited to the home and surrounding grounds, but not beyond the garage and fencing. Bowman Bay provides access to the west of the Pass. Deception Pass State Park offers a variety of beautiful trails along beaches and headlands, through forests and balds atop Goose Rock. The host can provide recommendations based on your activity level and desired experience. Just ten minutes from Oak Harbor, this property is centrally located between Coupeville, Anacortes and La Conner for easy exploration of the local shops and restaurants. Ebey Landing, Fort Ebey State Park and Fort Casey are iconic features of the mid-island experience. Exploring the southern communities of Greenbank, and the art zones around Freeland and Langley are also great options. Time permitting, we encourage a visit to Port Townsend by walking on the Coupeville Ferry. Be advised that reservations for autos are required on this boat and should be made several days in advance. The hosts reside in the neighboring home.
