Spokane, entertainment provided by our farm cats romping through the grass and the soothing sound of Arabian horses grazing outside your tent! A true animal lover's paradise! *this tent is for guests over 10, book the Bunk House which is more appropriate for young children. The space Find us on Hipcamp for instant booking and lower booking fees. A turn key authentic camping experience. Stay in our bell tent decorated in hand curated nomadic boho decor. Tent sleeps up to 4, we suggest guest bring their own sleeping bags, however we have clean sheets available and warm blankets for guest convenience. Guests may bring sleeping bags or make their own bed with provided clean linens located in a basket next to the bed. This is real camping! Cooking will be over a real wood fire or a propane fire pit provided only during burn bans, usually late July-September (propane not included), washing your dishes, hands and brushing teeth at the community water spigot and taking a short hike to the porta potty, and showering in a homemade outdoor bathhouse shower is part of this camping experience. Our farm is a walking environment, parking is about 100 feet away, shower and toilet are about 200 feet away over mowed pasture ground. Enjoy the convenience of a set up tent on a sand pad with real mattresses and linens, all camping gear provided except please bring a drinking water container to fill at our spigot, a cooler and ice. We provide firewood for the firepit or a propane firepit during burn bans. Please bring your own BBQ sized tank for the firepit. Although sauna hot midday and late afternoon, the tent cools off at sunset and stays amazingly cool at night on hot summer nights and does not get hot until mid morning. A hammock in the shade is provided for daytime naps. Situated on a 20 acre farmstead, camping property is a separate parcel and entrance away from the host residence, boasting abundant trees and a year round creek, wildflowers until early July, bird songs and bird watching opportunities, free range poultry, and friendly horses and cats roaming free. Each evening, listen to the coyotes howl, the owls hoot, crickets chirp, frogs croak (spring). Check out our photos and videos on insta #willowcreekretreat willow creek retreat farmstay Guest access Rural yet 2 miles from grocery store and fast food. Occasionally you will hear noisy air traffic or train crossing the tracks, but it is rare. We may have other campers using other campsites on the property. Please note that during the week, you will most likely have the entire grounds to yourself or shared with only a few other groups for a more private experience. Although not as busy as we were during the 2020 and 2021 camping season, on summer weekends, expect to share the 5 acre grounds with other campers, on holiday weekends guests will experience a more social festive atmosphere. Quiet time is 10 pm, as the property is shared with other guests and the owners live on site, please consider others on site after dark. If you arrive after 10 pm head straight to the tent and make yourself at home, solar lights mark the path to the trail used to access the tent. The property is next to an airfield so it is urban bright at night, by no means pitch dark. We are in the wild west and guns are common in our neighborhood, people target shoot and shoot predators attacking livestock including unsupervised wandering dogs, however there are no guns on the property listed. Due to livestock and coyotes watch dogs carefully when off leash. Dogs are not allowed in or near the tent, while in the campsite, they must be crated, in the car or tethered away from the tent. If you have an unaltered male dog he may find my spayed female Coonhound irresistible, please keep intact male dogs on a leash or supervised with an e-collar so they don't follow her to my house. Dogs that do not have recall or are prone to wander will be asked to stay on a leash at all times. We offer pony rides, farm tours, cow milking, our farm raised ground beef and steaks, farm fresh eggs, and Inflatable SUP rental to paddleboard Medical Lake 10 minutes away for additional fees. Other things to note Please read the listing thoroughly, I do not issue refunds after arrival for anything mentioned in this listing. Quiet time is 10 pm, as the property is shared with other guests and the owners live on site, please stay inside your campsite quietly with no music after 10 pm. If you arrive after 10 pm head straight to the tent after a visit to the porta potty on the way in and make yourself at home. This stay is fully immersed in nature and is habitat for a variety of birds as well as insects including butterflies, non poisonous spiders, ladybugs, beetles, bees and mosquitoes. Insects and small wildlife may access the tent through the power cord hole. Our farm is a walking environment, parking is about 100 feet away, shower and toilet are about 200 feet away over mowed pasture ground. Please do not knock on neighbor's doors looking for check in, let yourself in and make yourself at home. Please note that during hot summer days it is very hot inside during the day, not the best for naps. Temps plummet after 7:00 p.m. and it's nice and refreshingly cool at night. We have a very friendly large loud Coonhound name Charlie who greets visitors and lets us know someone has arrived. She is super friendly and submissive to guests and visiting dogs despite her loud bay. Her small companion Cricket has little dog syndrome and does not appreciate dog aggressive dogs or small children picking her up, she’s been nicknamed “the lunch lady” by guests. Not recommended for children under 4. Camping property ends at the creek, please do not cross the creek or the bridge across the creek. The rural area of our region is habitat for rodents, ticks (May and June only) spiders and mosquitoes. We stock herbal bug spray to kill and repel insects and spiders. I have confirmed we do not have the species of tick that carry tick-borne diseases in our area. Tent is equipped with bug spray for your convenience. No running water at the tent, however we have a water spigot and an outdoor open hose shower on the property and porta potty. The only thing NOT provided for camping is a container to fill with personal drinking water from our spigot, cooler and ice. Other than personal care products and food, we provide everything you need. Please let us know if we've missed anything.
