Boonton Revival- A restored treasure in NJ
The Boonton Revival is an updated 100-year-old home within walking distance of historic Main Street, quaint restaurants, and unique shops. The nearby train and bus stations can connect to the NYC Port Authority (7th Ave) in one hour. Newark Liberty Airport is a 30-minute ride, and you can be at the Jersey Shore in an hour! The property owner is an avid gardener and guests are welcome to admire the koi pond and sample in-season vegetables. The space Restore, renew, recycle, reuse, revive! The Boonton Revival has been almost entirely furnished and decorated with items purchased from thrifting. Please keep in mind that this house is very old. For the first part of its life, guests used an outhouse in the backyard. Thankfully there is now indoor plumbing, but, the bathroom is located upstairs and it is small. if you have trouble navigating stairs, the Boonton Revival may not be a good fit for you. Both bedrooms are also located up the steep and narrow staircase. Guest access Guests have use of the home's first two floors. Rooms include an enclosed porch, living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, dedicated workspace, and bathroom. There is also an outdoor patio space specifically for guests. This area has seating, a table, a barbecue grill, and an outdoor heating lamp. The backyard is shared with the owner, Eugene. You are welcome to admire the space. Eugene is an avid gardener and Koi Pond enthusiast. Other things to note Many thanks to the staff of Habit for Humanity (especially Jay, Rosemary, and Peter), the folks at Goodwill, and my favorite pirate Joe and the girls at Salvation Army in Stroudsburg.
