Our historic home was originally built in the 1800s and we recently renovated it from the ground up. It's bright, cozy, a little quirky and centrally-located to easily enjoy our coastal town. Speciality markets for provisions, our natural wine shop, delicious restaurants, rooftop bars, art galleries and our favorite little beach are all just steps away from our home! The space We utilized reclaimed materials and sourced antique furniture, drawing on calming earth tones, to bring this space to life. We do not have any pets and are very mindful to keep it clean, not just inside but outside too – we have a large deck which is an extension of our living space overlooking our spacious backyard space that is quiet, serene and well-manicured. Everyone who has experienced our home has mentioned how comfortable and at peace they feel. The home is over 1800 square feet with spacious, airy communal spaces. The bedrooms are on the smaller side but comfortable with new, organic Avocado mattresses and Parachute linen bedding. As mentioned, this is an old home and although we renovated the majority of it, there are still little quirks that are part of it’s charm like the steep stair case, original cabinetry in the kitchen and shorter ceilings upstairs. It’s nothing major, we just like when our hosts are transparent so we know what to expect. We do not have air conditioning but do have a fan in each room and an additional large box fan if needed. Our space comes with a Traeger pellet grill, gas range & electric oven, dishwasher and welcomes you with a warm, inviting energy that we hope will give you the feeling of home away from home. We love to travel as much as you do, and welcome the opportunity to have fellow globe trotters enjoy our home while we are out doing the same. We do live here the majority of the year so we kindly ask that you please respect our privacy and our belongings as well as our sweet neighbors. We refrain from hosting young children 0-12 because of our steep stairs, white couch and overall light interior. We have two queen beds which makes our home ideal for 1-4 people to come stay. Please treat our home as your home with reverence, care and respect! Go for a hike in the nearby state park, a kayak tour of the coast or our favorite, take a sunset schooner trip out of Camden Harbor! The area is surrounded by scenic beauty and outdoor activities to enjoy. We are very cognizant of the ecosystem we belong to and do our best to reduce our negative impact and increase our positive impact by using non-toxic cleaning products, composting and recycling everything we possibly can, as well as being mindful of water and electrical use. If you can support us in this when you’re visiting, we really appreciate it! Parking notes: There is parking for 2 vehicles in our driveway. EXTRA AMENITIES INCLUDE - New Non-toxic Avocado mattresses made with organic materials - Parachute Linen Bedding - Organic cotton bath towels - Chemex pour over coffee maker, ceramic cooking pots, dutch oven - Cafe Appliances gas range and electric oven - Ecobee eco thermostat & Sonos sound bar Guest access Guests have private access to the entire home and outdoor space besides the basement and garage.
