Welcome to River House, a perfect design respite nestled into the Hamlet of Brookhaven, Long Island. With water views and 5 min walk to Bay beachfront access, this modern home is the perfect escape. Just 10 mins from the town of Bellport and 15 mins from the LIRR Train, this NYC escape is easy to access by train or car. The space River House is the perfect resting place created for resetting and finding inspiration. The owner Susan (Designer and Gallerist) filled this home with everything she adores when needing an escape from her busy life: cooking, the perfect cup of coffee, cozy private outdoor spots for reading, and not to mention a little food garden to play with. She is excited to share this special home with guests who will love it as much as she does. Living Room: There are 3 different interior living rooms in River House. The lower entry living room placed next to the open kitchen is ideal for watching nature and local wildlife go by through the big bay windows. The upper living room w/ deep cozy sectional sofa is made for the movie watchers. Complete with a sleek Samsung Frame TV complete with a Bose soundbar, it is the perfect movie room for those rainy stay at home days. Lastly is the fireplace living room on the lower level just off the back porch for keeping warm in the winter seasons. Kitchen: The hearth of the house, the kitchen is ideal for those who love to cook. Fully equipped with Lobster Pot, Rice Cooker, Vitamix Blender, Instant Pot, KitchenAid Mixer, Food processor and every pot and pan you can think of. Ample spices and oils available to help get you started. Coffee: An essential element for this homeowner. There is every brewing option you can imagine: Moccamaster drip, Aeropress, French press, and V60 Hario pour-over along with a Fellow Ode Grinder for the coffee lovers out there. Bedrooms: Comfort is paramount for this homeowner. Each bedroom has Avocado Mattresses and sheets from Area Bedding in Manhattan. There are plenty of pillows, pillow sizes and comforters to help make the best relaxation and sleep possible. Not to mention each bedroom is equipped with blackout shades to help as well with the bright night moon. Outdoor Area: The fully fenced private backyard is ideal for those who love to cook for big groups. With a 10 person dining set up and weber genesis gas grill the outside becomes a second home for entertaining. Plenty of backyard space for games, sun loungers, and cozy lounge chairs set under the grape vines for those looking to quietly relax. The upper deck is filled with a large plush teak sofa and lounge chair for those looking to relax but stay connected to the outdoors. Some fun things to do while in the area: - Walk 5 minutes to the Bay Beach front for a fun local beach hang - Walk 20 minutes to the local HOG Farm for the weekend activities and farm stand - Kayak rentals are easy and nearby. Take a day to kayak the back rivers off the bay and explore the wild marshland surrounding the Brookhaven neighborhood - Hike the local Post Marrow trails or go even farther to the nearby Long Island parks (Cedar point) for an exciting cliffside to beach hike - Bike rentals to explore the area or even bike into the town of Bellport for Ice Cream and local shopping - Boat Rentals at Silly Lilly in Center Moriches and then have a post boating beachfront meal at the Marina. - Visit Smith Point Beach for a long beach day, 15 min drive away Guest access Guests have private access to the property. Parking for two cars in the driveway Easy check in with keyless entry. Other things to note Check in/Check out: Check in time is 4pm and check out is 11am. As our cleaning team needs the full time window I fear we are unable to offer an early check in or late check out. Make sure to review the cancellation policy closely. If there is any chance you may need to cancel after the refund period is closed we highly recommend adding the travel insurance to your booking.
