Family friendly home on Oneida lake with dock
Welcome to Oneida Lake! Come relax at this waterfront retreat located just 25 minutes from Syracuse. The house is nestled on a dead-end road on a large lot with a privacy fence and over 100 feet of lakefront. Prepare a meal in the large chef’s kitchen, or enjoy some time outside bird watching, kayaking, swimming, fishing, or sunbathing. In the winter ice fishing is a must! The space The large double lot with a tall wooden privacy fence surrounding most of the property makes it comfortable to relax and enjoy the views of the water while soaking up the sun or watching your children play on the play set. The backyard also boasts a large deck with outdoor furniture and a charcoal grill. There is also a deck on the water's edge that leads to the dock and boat hoist which is to be installed in the spring and removed in the fall. Please keep in mind this is a lake and we can not control the waves, weeds, and geese. We do try to push weeds away from the boat slip and pick up after the geese but they do love to eat our grass. The large chef's kitchen is sure to impress as we turned this old living space into a dream lakefront kitchen with a commercial 48" 9 burner stove top with a double oven. You will find more than enough seating around the custom-made maple 4'x9' island along with the separate dining table. This space also has a mini fridge for wine and a separate mini fridge for cans. There is a dishwasher and basic cooking amenities. We also added a very large pantry which is located right next to the stocked coffee bar. The kitchen also has a mounted tv. The living room has a large couch and coffee table facing the television and electric fireplace. There is a bath with a shower off the living room for the guests who stay on the first floor. There is a queen suite off the first-floor hall with a dresser and a tv. Off the hall is also a private quiet office for those needing to get some work done. The office also has a futon that folds down into a full bed. On the same side of the hallway as the office is the laundry/mudroom with a free washer with provided detergent, dryer, and coat hooks. The second floor is home to our king primary suite with a dresser and his and her closets. This room also has a tv with a private door to the full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There is another large bedroom where we have added two twin beds and two smaller dressers. This room also has a large closet to hang clothing. Guest access Lake rights property limitations are a fenced-in yard to pine tree line ending at the rose bush at the lake. The garage and basement are locked and off-limits. The dock is installed in the spring and removed in the fall. The dates very depending on the weather and installation team. The deck by the water has a latched gate to prevent small children from falling. The gate on the fence may be used to access the backyard but there are to be absolutely NO vehicles in the backyard. We provide 1 canoe and 2 kayaks with some life jackets. They are located by our back deck. There is a fire ring overlooking the water where fires are allowed. Please abide by the local burn laws and also no burning of trash. Other things to note Oneida Lake is full of some amazing history. There are plenty of places to explore. Not to be ignored is the amazing fish population with an estimation of over 1 million walleye stated in 2022. The perch and bass fishing is also famous with a professional bass tournament held here some years. With a short drive to the other end of the lake, you can visit Sylvian Beach with a big beach and boardwalk. All garbage must be in a bag and placed in the dumpster across the road from the driveway. There will be an additional $200 cleaning fee for excessive mess and smoking in the house. Only one boat should be put on the boat hoist and one on the dock.
