Come and experience a private, relaxing stay overlooking a fern filled valley in the Forest at Summit Lake. Surrounded only by trees, sunlight and birdsong you can relax and enjoy the scenery and peace and quiet. The space Prepare to sleep soundly in our new rigid sided tent complete with 2 cozy cots with new mattress pads. The tents have tile floors and are construed to keep out critters. The site also includes a fire pit, firewood and a picnic table. A private Privy is located a short walk from the site. This is a rustic, secluded campsite, best suited for experienced campers. You will need to bring food/water, bug spray, bedding, cookware and utensils, etc. Carry in-Carry out policy is in effect. There is a hiking trail (approximately 1.5 miles) within the 5-acre Forest. Please stay on the marked trail as the adjourning properties are private. Pets are welcome but must be leased at all times and may not be left in the tents unattended unless they are in a portable kennel. There are various award-winning sculptures adorning the Forest and will be incorporated into future development of the sites. Please do not climb on the sculptures as they are fragile and valuable. Guest access the 700 foot trail is easy to climb and can accommodate a vehicle with AWD. parking is located along the blacktop roadway. With an additional space close to the actual camp site. we try to keep vehicle traffic to the mountain limited by the single lane trail. Other things to note The Forest at Summit Lake is ideal for hikers, concert goers, and couples who are looking for a memorable outdoor adventure. We are close to Lake George, Saratoga, and SPAC. Washington County has abundant hiking trails close by including Prospect Mountain and Sleeping Beauty. You can kayak on Summit Lake or nearby Cossayuna Lake. Scotlander Brewing Company, Argyle Brewing Company, Slickfin Brewing Company and R.S Taylor and Sons Brewery are all located nearby for those interested in craft beers. No smoking in the tents.
