Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Leave your cares behind as you drive up the paved driveway, past the pecan orchard to a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This fully appointed home on a working farm is so peaceful, yet surprisingly close to everything the area as to offer. Hiking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, Clemson University, downtown Greenville are all within 20 miles of your home base. The space You will be blown away at everything this property has to offer. During your drive to the property, you’ll get a few glimpses of the incredible view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. But once you get to the top of the driveway, be prepared to gasp at the spectacular view. Our home is built on the top of a small hill locally known as “RoundTop”. The views from up here are unobstructed. Continue along the RIGHT side of the driveway to the oversized 2 car garage at the end of the drive. Your entrance into the home is through the garage. You’ll use the provided codes to open the garage doors. Go up the entrance ramp and enter the door code to step inside. You’ll enter into a short hall, with a coat closet on the right and a large half-bath on the left. It’s possible you may miss these, because you will be so overwhelmed with the view out the patio doors. The spectacular view is what first attracted us to this property, and we built the house to take full advantage of it from every room. At the end of the hall, to your left is a large built-in desk; to your right you’ll find a fully appointed kitchen. There is a full size oven with convection, a ceramic top stove with five burners, a large side-by-side refrigerator with an icemaker and through the door dispensing, microwave, dishwasher, combination drip and Keurig coffee maker, utensils, pots, pans, rice cooker, cooking sheets - pretty much everything you will need. You will find wine glasses, coffee mugs, even a salad spinner! For you wine lovers, there is a countertop wine opener which will open and recork your wine. One countertop in the kitchen has bar seating for three on the opposite side. There in the dining room you will find a large oak table with seating for six. The double French doors in the dining room open onto your own private deck. You will enjoy taking your meals out here at the patio table for four while you enjoy the amazing view. Additional seats are also on the deck. There is a large, retractable awning with lights; the control for this is inside on the windowsill. Back inside, on the other side of the open fireplace, you will find a large, open living room. Above the fireplace there is a TV, configured with Roku. Off of the living room, you will find a full futon and a comfy leather recliner in the den/library. This area can be closed off for privacy using the floor to ceiling room darkening curtains. Continue down the hallway just pass the living room, and you will find stairs leading down to the lower level. However, just next to this, there is an elevator! The elevator is large enough for a wheelchair and two or three people. You will find it a great help bringing your luggage up and down. Once you get downstairs, you will enter into the large, open master bedroom. Here you will find a king size bed with a Tempur-Pedic mattress and a mattress topper. At the foot of the bed, there is a cedar chest which has some extra bedding if desired. There is a wall mounted TV with Roku You will see the largest walk-in closet ever with a large full length mirror. Enjoy the robes hanging in the closet; they are there for your use during the stay. You will find the master bathroom to have everything you need, and more. There is a very large soaking tub; over this is where you’ll find the heated towel rack. There is an oversized shower with grab bars and a built-in seat, as well as a hand held shower head. Please note, this is not a roll-in shower; there is about a 6 inch step you will need to clear in order to get into the shower. Over on the countertops, there are double sinks with large mirrors and extra storage. We supply environmentally friendly, organically derived bath supplies, including bar soap, shampoo and body lotion. Hanging in the shower is a dispenser for refreshing green tea lemongrass body wash. You will find an abundance of fresh cotton bath towels on the rack just on the other side of the shower. There is an installed grab bar on the wall next to the toilet. Coming out of the master bath, you will find a full laundry room, with oversized top loading washer and a dryer. There is a built-in ironing board and an iron there for your use as well. Laundry detergent is supplied, as well as a small area for hanging clothing to dry. Coming back out into the master bedroom, you will see floor to ceiling room darkening curtains. These create privacy for a small nook off of the master bedroom. In this space there is a twin daybed with two mattresses. When the lower trundle is extended, one of the mattresses can be pulled onto this, creating a king sized space. Next to this, there is a small coffee corner, with a mini fridge, a sink and a Keurig coffee maker. There are double French doors which lead out into the back of the property. This space is attached to our home on a working farm. We have three large high tunnels, in which we grow turmeric, ginger, root crops and a variety of greens, flowers and vegetables. There is also a summer garden outback, as well as muscadine vines. We have a chicken coop with approximately 25 chickens and a few roosters. Roosters crow throughout the day, but they are far enough away from the living quarters that you are unlikely to hear them unless the windows are open. There are fenced pastures out back, which, depending on the season may have goats, sheep or cows. Feel free to interact with the livestock! Continuing around the property, there is a large fruit orchard with approximately 30 trees. We have pears, apples, peaches, nectarines, figs, blueberries. You are welcome to try some fruit when it is in season! We don’t use chemicals on any of our products, so the fruit may not be pretty, but it is very tasty. Guest access You will have access to the entire property, including fields, livestock and fruit orchard. The only locked space is our administrative and storage space under the stairs. Other things to note We have 2 overly friendly dogs (Sadie and Otis) who may come over to greet you.
