Rosie’s a cozy, refurbished 1955 Shultz Trailer, snuggled in trees on sustainable Dragonfly Farm 10 minutes from Port Townsend. Rosie is 200 sq ft of wood-paneled comfort, full kitchen, dining/living area, bedroom w/full size bed. Composting toilet is in clean, new outhouse just outside. We’ll start you out with breakfast goodies: oatmeal, fruit, coffee/tea + milk. Small shower includes bodywash/shampoo, lotion & hairdryer. Relax on a spacious deck amidst trees, flowers & our bright red barn. The space Kassie & Peter were Superhosts for years near Portland, OR. Now we bring the same care, amenities, and friendliness to our new digs near Port Townsend. We love meeting people from all over. Except for those rare occasions when we’re out of town, we’ll greet you when you arrive and show you how everything works, or chat restaurants and local haunts with you if you like. While you’re staying in Rosie, we’re happy to have a cup of coffee/tea or a glass of beer/wine with you, or leave you with as much privacy as you want. Need something? Text us and one of us will get back to you quickly. Rosie’s an adventure in vintage camping (glamping 1950's style), tiny house living and sustainability. While comfortable and full of amenities, she’s small – so not recommended for very tall people! The shower is tight and the hot water tank, while fast and efficient, is small. So if you're a lover of long lingering showers, well, enjoy every brief moment! We’re creating a small sustainable permaculture farm at Dragonfly; so everything possible goes back to the land. The water from sinks and showers goes through a grey-water system into the ground. And, since this 1955 trailer didn’t have a toilet, there’s a newly built, ocean-themed outhouse just outback. It’s a composting toilet, so your contribution will help fertilize trees on the property, after it’s thoroughly and safely composted – helping the land and nearby Salish Sea! So you’re making Orcas and trees happy! Please note that this is a no-smoking property. We look forward to meeting you and helping you have a great stay. Guest access There's a parking space for you right in front of Rosie, and more parking on the property in case you have a visiting friend. We're about a quarter mile off of State Route 20, so you have quick and easy access to Port Townsend & to Highway 101.
