Welcome to Spruce Woods Farmhouse! We cater to families and mature guests who seek to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our beautiful area. Nature lovers, skiers, hikers or just those seeking an escape from the hustle of city life. The house offers a year-round hot tub perfect for soaking apres ski. We accept one well behaved dog 25lbs or less per booking. Additional fee applies. We do not have a fenced in yard and we are on route 23C. Please message us if you would like to bring your dog. The space Spruce Woods welcomes guests seeking to be enveloped by nature, peace and tranquility. The house is thoughtfully designed to maximize connection between guests with multiple gathering spaces indoors and outdoors. The house offers two large bedrooms. Both bedrooms have window AC units. The master bedroom has a queen size bed as well as a daybed perfect for kids. The second bedroom has two queen beds. In addition, there is a convertible couch on the lower floor appropriate for children. The kitchen is fully stocked and well appointed for family meals. The dining room looks out onto the large lush back yard and hot tub. On the back patio you will find a large picnic table and gas bbq. Festive string lights light up evening gatherings. Sit around the large firepit in one of our six Adirondack chairs for a smores making session. The grounds are large and lush in warmer months with fruit trees, hydrangea and native plantings throughout. In autumn, enjoy being surrounded by leaf peeping splendor. In winter, walk amongst snow covered hemlocks and cozy up to the wood burning stove with a cup of hot chocolate. Come stay with us! Guest access Guests have access to the entire property except for a locked owner’s closet and the basement. Other things to note Wildlife in the Catskills - we are situated in the middle of the most beautiful areas of the Catskills and nature abounds! You will likely see wildlife during your stay. You may see deer, turkeys, groundhogs, foxes, etc. Please note that we are in bear country. It is very important to discard of all garbage in the secure bear-proof bin (warmer months) or garbage can (winter). All bbq and food items should be brought inside and the bbq scraped clean after use to avoid having unwanted visitors. Bears are generally very timid but they make a terrible mess! The house is regularly treated for pests but being that we are in the country, it would not be unusual to have an insect or mouse make an appearance inside.
