Just 6 miles South on Hwy 106 is "Hunter Farm & Nursery" with many covered greenhouses and a funky old farm store/gift-shop/ice cream. Their pumpkin patch-October events and Thanksgiving thru Christmas tree cutting events are very popular. It has been in business since 1889. The West Coast Oyster Shucking Festival in Shelton is Oct.6-8th 2023 but you don't have to wait that long for tasting great seafood from the NW. A recent visit to Hama Hama on the West coast of Hood Canal produced a bounty of delicious dinners. There are two tribal casinos in Shelton, "Little Creek" and "Lucky Dog". Best to shop for food and beverages in Belfair (Safeway, QFC) or Shelton ( Safeway, Fred Meyer, Walmart). Union has very limited choices and resort area pricing Guest access The entire house a property is accessible during your stay but for one closet. There is a keypad on the back door. I will send you the code after booking. Other things to note There are several area sites and businesses to enjoy. Alderbrook Resort offers boat rides on the "Lady Alderbrook" tour boat and rents out paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. They also have a beautiful golf course and a spa with saltwater pool. There are hiking trails just from the resort on HWY 106. The "Union Square Deli" on Dalby Rd offers pizza/ice/cream/bar area and Friday night live entertainment.
