Other things to note Before booking, please consider the following to ensure AMATE Atitlan is the right destination for you: Nature hike to the property: Please note that there is no road access or parking available on the property. To reach AMATE, you will enjoy a scenic 10-minute nature hike, which includes some stairs. Upon booking, you will receive a detailed arrival guide with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. Additionally, we will provide you with the contact information for our trusted tuk-tuk driver, who can assist with transporting your luggage to the property. San Marcos La Laguna can get noisey: San Marcos La Laguna is known for its vibrant atmosphere and lively community. While this can be an exciting and enriching experience for many guests, it's important to be aware that the village can sometimes get loud, especially during festivals or holiday celebrations. The local culture and close-knit community often result in music, gatherings, and general noise from tuk-tuks, churches, and animals, which may be audible on the premises. Although AMATE's A-Frames are situated in a quieter area, please understand that they may not be suitable for those seeking absolute silence. However, if you're open to immersing yourself in the local culture and embracing the energetic ambiance, San Marcos La Laguna offers a unique and memorable experience. No smoking inside the cabin: We kindly request that you refrain from smoking inside the cabin. If you need to smoke, please do so outside and at a distance from the cabin to prevent smoke from entering. Additionally, please ensure that cigarettes are fully extinguished to prevent any fire hazards. Quiet hours: Our quiet hours are from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. During these times, we strive to minimize noise to allow for a peaceful environment. We kindly ask that you avoid hosting parties or playing loud music.
