Modern Farmhouse in Dayton
Welcome to our 1920 modern farmhouse in the beautiful little town of Dayton, VA! Our house, officially named Modern Farmhouse on Mill, is located within a short walk to shops, restaurants, two parks (one with a lovely creek running through), and Silver Lake where you can fish, kayak, and picnic. We are just 5 miles from Downtown Harrisonburg and a short drive to JMU, EMU, and BC. you will also be within close proximity to breweries, wineries, distilleries, hiking trails, great biking, and more! The space Our place has a full kitchen, dining room, two living areas (one with Smart TV) with futon couches (twin size), 1.5 bathrooms (both on main level), 3 bedrooms (queen, full, bunk with full and twin), front porch, back deck (both perfect for sipping coffee in the mornings or having a glass of wine in the evenings!), and a fenced in yard that’s perfect for little ones to play or your dog too! *Both bathrooms are on the main level. All bedrooms are upstairs, but the two pull out futons are on the main level and one is in a room with a door that can be closed for privacy. A special note: Modern Farmhouse On Mill is a non toxic home. We do not use toxic products with chemicals /synthetic fragrances that are in air fresheners, laundry detergent, cleaners, soaps, etc. We recognize those types of products can not only be detrimental to your health but that some people are allergic, have sensitivities, etc. to them. It’s important to use top quality products to get the house ready for your stay! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home except for the outdoor shed, storage closet inside the home, and the basement cellar. Other things to note Modern Farmhouse on Mill was built in 1920. It has many updates but also many characteristics of the time period it was built! We love its quirks!
